The Protur Palmeras Playa Hotel puts you in easy reach of Sa Coma’s sands, shops and restaurants.
It’s all about location at the Protur Palmeras Playa Hotel. Sa Coma’s sandy beach is less than 2 minutes’ walk away, and it’s about the same to the bars and restaurants in the centre of town.
Bedrooms here are nice and modern, with white walls, blue soft furnishings and light-wood furniture. They’re nice and big, too. Outside, meanwhile, you’ve got a pool and plenty of sunbathing space.

We had a great time!
Me and my partner travelled with friends to this fantastic hotel. There really isn't a lot to fault. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Everyday, you are able to choose whether to get your room cleaned. We got ours cleaned and made up everyday and the cleaners really do an excellent job! There is a shower, and ample towels. The double bed was very comfortable. You also get a small tv with a few English channels. We were located on the 5th floor (so quite high up) and in the central block of rooms. It was a great room to be placed in. We got a small balcony which looked over onto the pool and bar area. The staff were helpful and always on hand to help if you needed it. The food was brilliant. There was a extensive selection of foods on for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In between meal times, they had a continental breakfast outside and different salads. A great add on was the ice cream freezers that were accessible throughout the day. The food changed every day so you weren't constantly having to pick from the same selection. The only thing I would mention, is that my friend went to the fresh meats section and asked for some chicken which they did on a grill in front of you. Unfortunately, his chicken was still raw inside. We made a complaint about this and the waitress went straight to the restaurant manager who they sorted the issue. This is the only problem I came across with the food so I would advise to be careful around the fresh meats section. I cannot fault the entertainment team who were there pretty much all day. They had different activities on each day to entertain the kids. They were always very hard working and enthusiastic. Kids club was great. They all loved it! The evening entertainment always varied. Some acts were brilliant. On one night there was a band which sang a load of classic tracks and was great for people young and old. We also saw an 'around the world' themed dance show which was done by the entertainment team. We also saw flamenco. These acts were okay but I have seen more professional shows which were a lot better. Some nights we would stay to watch, sometimes we would go to the indoor bar and sometimes we would go out and venture into Sa Coma and Sillot which is a 5 minute walk down the beach. There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops there. Sa coma itself is quite quiet so it is handy to have Sillot very close. I have seen a number of reviews mentioning the outdoor pool area. Some of which I agree with but personally, one of the best parts of the holiday was the pool area! If you are looking to have a quiet holiday with a spacious pool to swim and relax then this is not the place for you! However, me and my friends loved the vibe of the pool and enjoyed having a game of bat and ball. You are aloud lilos in the pool and jumping is aloud. It is important to know that if you are going to go in the pool, you're most likely going to get splashed, but personally, I liked that. It was great fun! The sunbeds are close to each other, but again, I didn't mind being close to others. Some of the pool is in the shade for some of the day and then it changes as time ticks over to the afternoon. My partner often got up at around 8/8.30 and we happened to get great sun loungers every time. I think getting up at 6.30 is a bit stupid when you can get the exact same loungers at 8.30! There was 4 of us and we always got loungers that were in the sun for the majority of the day. Often, my partner would wait until 9 oclock just to ensure that our towels were not removed by the staff. But, I think people make a bigger deal of this than they need to. There are lots of things to do and it is easy to find a rep and book an excursion. We went to Aqua Land, one of the water parks there. It was good but the weather was awful and we had to leave early due to storms. The slides were great though you do have to queue for a while. We also went to 'Pirates Adventure' which I thoroughly recommend! Absolutely amazing. The best part of the holiday by far. A huge sit down meal and then you sit back and watch Olympic gold medallists tell you a pirate story whilst performing amazing acrobatics! Great for children and adults. We booked the cheapest seats but happened to get some of the best ones! An amazing view from the top and had no heads in the way of us! Please bare this in mind. We also went to play mini golf at another Protur hotel which was about 10/15 mins walk away from Palmeras Playa. It was called 'Paradis Minigolf' and it was great. 18 holes and was a really great night. We also went on a boat trip which stopped off at all the different coves and we also got to see Porto Cristo and Cala Millor. On one of the last days, me and my boyfriend went to Marineland which was great. Dolphin shows, sea lion shows, parrot shows and loads of animals to look at. There is also a small beautiful beach attached to the theme park. A great day. Just to note that I did not use the free hotel wifi whilst on holiday but others did and didnt have any problems with connection. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended. A few small glitches but all which were resolved very easily.More

Just got back from a week long stay and would highly recommend to anyone don't think I've stayed at a better hotel ever. Staff were brilliant very helpful with any problems etc. Rooms were massive with loads of space and the air conditioning was lovely as it reached 33 degrees. Pool was good not the biggest but adequate for number of guests. Food was brilliant the choice was endless always a good selection for the kids. Entertainment was OK but we often went out for a walk around Sa Coma then went in the bar for drinks. More

Good but not Great !!
We stayed here end of July . The Hotel was clean and all staff very freindly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and clean so no complaints their! The food was good and choice was good however I did think their were to many desserts on offer like about 20!! I was disappointed that there were no bar snacks like nuts, crisps etc, also during the day their was only the pool bar open which is ok if you like plastic cups which is understandable because it's by the pool but to have no alternative as the inside bar is closed during the day which I have never had in any all inclusive hotel I have always had the option to sit inside and have a nice drink in a glass out of the Sun , this I believe is all down to cost cutting and to deter people from getting a drink to take to the room. The pool is way to small especially in peak season and you have to get on with strangers as the sun bed are about 2 inches apart with no tables to put a drink on ! You will have to get up early to secure a bed in a decent position so ignore the signs that say you can't put a towel out before 9, one side of the pool is in the sun all day and the other half doesn't get the full sun until afternoon . The entertainment was ok some worse than others but all your typical holiday entertainment. Their were several cases of stomache bug when we were there and my son did get it and he was violently ill for 2 days which wasn't great ,but the hotel were good and did a deep clean of our room. The air con in reception was never on so if you had to wait their for sometime it was very uncomfortable. The Wi-fi was rubbish you got a better signal if you sat in the sweltering reception or very early in the morning 7am. Sa Coma is a relaxing resort and we enjoyed the area and Cala millor up the road is very nice as well. If the Hotel could just make a few changes like opening the inside seating area and bar during the day and light bar snacks of an evening ,also make the pool bigger if possible, this would be an outstanding Hotel as the staff and rooms are great.More

Nice Hotel with poor pool and sun bed area
If I could review this in to parts I would give 5/5 for the Hotel and 3/5 for the pool and sun bed area. The hotel is really nice very spacious rooms with very large beds. There was no bath just a walk in shower the room was cleaned with new towels provided every day. The food was good you could always find something to eat the desserts in the evening were amazing. The staff in the restaurant worked very hard clearing your plates as soon as you had finished. The hotel staff were very efficient and polite in all areas it would be hard to fault their effort. There was free Wi Fi as always the closer you were to the reception the stronger the signal. I had no complaints about the Hotel itself but things went downhill when I decided to spend a day around the pool. First the pool is to small at times you have swimmers, people playing ball, and inflatables all in the pool and its bedlam. The hotel is made up of three blocks close to the pool on three sides, this gives limited space for sunbeds. Next problem is getting a sun bed if you want one that's in the sun set your alarm clock for about 6.30. I say in the sun because one side of the pool is in the shade until about 1'o clock that's the right looking from the front of the hotel. On the left you get sun most of the day until about 3.30 so everyone makes a b line for the left. This all brings out the worst in people and they are down at the pool before its even light sitting on the sunbeds. The Hotel has a sign about not reserving sun beds before 9 and that towels will be removed if they do total wast of time. Just one day someone did come round and remove unoccupied towels at about 8.30 it was brilliant to see the look on the faces of the 6'o clock club when they came back from breakfast to see there towels gone and another person sitting on their sun bed. The area is so cramped you are elbow to elbow most of the time the sunbeds are so close together.Nice Hotel but I like some space to move and will not be returning.More
