Will be back
Having booked a last minute trip and having not stayed in anything less than a 4* for sometime I was not expecting much.however what a great surprise!!! The room was clean and spacious and appeared to have benefitted from a recent upgrade. The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained and courtyards were in bloom with flowers. Pools were clean with plenty of sun beds and seats. The food was fine, slightly repetitive but fresh and warm and great for one week.nice touch making pack lunches for guests on day trips. Alcoholic drinks were generally good quality and staff were generous with measures! staff were not the friendliest however they can be forgiven as they appear to work really long hours. Close to the beach and bus links- a great base for exploring. Overall the hotel was an excellent family break, with unbelievable value for moneyMore
A really charming hotel in San Pedro, modelled on old style villas. First impressions were the friendly English speaking staff and the beautiful villa blocks. The rooms were bright and clean with air conditioning/heater and were cleaned every day. There is TV, but only BBC World news is English, however, there are a lot of channels that show several top movies, children's shows and British TV series in Spanish. You can get an hour's worth of Wi-Fi free per day, or you can relax in reception, where the Wi-Fi is free all day. We visited in Early April so daytime temperatures ranged from 20-26 degrees but night time was chilly. The restaurant served a huge variety of food and drink. There was always a fish, meat, pasta & salad option, but really, the choice was superb. It was also well cooked and presented. There is also a snack bar, open when the restaurant is shut, serving chips burgers etc. The poolside bars stocked the usual home grown drinks(we were all inclusive) , coffees teas as well as premium brands at a cost. There is also a bar next to the Wi-Fi area in reception, providing the same choice of drinks. The seating area near the entertainment stage is a sun trap, so this is the place to chill in the afternoon with your gin Limón! There is also nightly entertainment here (we got an Elton John tribute). There are two adequate pools and a children's pool at the back in a specially designated play area. We never had a problem getting sunbeds, however, if you do wish to leave towels on sunbeds, its normally about 10am that this is allowed. The beach is about a 15 minute walk away via the Calle Pablo Picasso which runs alongside the hotel. When you reach the end of the road, to your left are a couple of bar/restaurants but if you turn right, you can stroll along a pleasant clean walkway that is peppered with a lot more restaurants, plus sun loungers for the beach. There is a small gift shop in the hotel car park, plus if you exit the hotel and turn right, there is the Emerald Irish pub(with Sky Sports) a Spanish bar, plus a mini mart and more gift shops. If you exit the hotel and turn left, cross the Calle Pablo Picasso, if you require a lot of food/drink shopping, then there is an ALDI type supermarket just there. There is a free daily shuttle bus To Puerto Banus, which is worth visiting as there are designer shops and well known bars, restaurants (Hard Rock Café, MacDonald's). On Friday, there is a huge outdoor market in Puerto Banus that is worth a look, but please be aware that this bus is popular. We queued for 15 minutes to catch it and just about got on as there was a last minute scramble. You can catch a bus to Marbella(there is a price list on reception). We caught a taxi there and it was about 15 Euros. If you do go to Marbella, you have the beach , the port, city shops but more importantly , the old town which is stunning. Overall we had a fantastic time and to top it off, my daughter turned 20 while we were there and after a trip out, we returned to the hotel room, to find a bottle of bubbly in an ice bucket and a happy birthday note from the Hotel staff!! We had not asked them for this, so this was just a wonderful touch from them. . So would we go back there? Without a doubt. Thank you to all the staff for a great holiday.More
A traditional Spanish hotel with beautiful well kept gardens. Our room was bright and spacious ,very clean ,towels changed regurarly. All areas of the hotel were well maintained and clean. The food was good with lots of choice. Staff were helpful and friendly and are very hard working . I could not fault anything and will definitely visit again in fact I believe we have found a hotel that caters for our needs and it is set in beautiful surroundings .More
Last minute break.
Quality hotel overall, good rooms, food & drink in all inclusive mostly good. Great swimming pools, hotel would not switch air conditioning on even after asking the rep to complain. 32 euro a week for safe a bit steep. Not sure if restaurant size is big enough for hotel size during high season.More
I stayed at this traditional Spanish hotel for the weekend at the end of April. I couldn't fault anything. The room was clean and comfortable and overlooked the swimming pool at the far side of the complex and was quite when sitting on the balcony. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner, I did not use the snack bar as never hungry! Although I did not use the swimming pools, many people were swimming and I was pleased to see there was a lifeguard present at both pools. All in all a great holiday and recommended to both families and couples More
