Coral Sea Water World

Anchored right next to the beach in Nabq Bay, this place packs in a huge sand-side pool, a triple helping of restaurants and a shiny new waterpark.

The brand new waterpark here is bigger and better than ever. The best news, though, is that it’s on the same site as the hotel itself – so you can squelch right on over.

There’s a pair of pools set in gardens, 4 restaurants and rooms that have a balcony or terrace with garden, pool or sea views. The cherry on top? The beach – it’s right outside.

Onsite waterpark

The aquapark at Coral Sea Water World is on site so, a splashing good time is just footsteps away. The water rides have names like Night Rider, Freefall, Turbulence and Twilight Zone and include tube slides that snake their way downhill, multi-lane racing slides and a bowl-shaped vortex.

Younger swimmers have a pirate-themed splash pool where they can scramble up and over the water, then swoosh and glide back in. And a lazy river gently meanders around the park area too.

There are manufacturer's height restrictions of 1.20m on the big waterslides and the wave pool. These also have an age restriction of either 8 or 10 years and over.

Kids' club

The hotel-run kids' club provides a great range of kids’ activities to fill their days with fun and adventure. For ages 4 to 12 years.

2 outdoor pools

If you don't fancy the slides and chutes, there's always the main pools. One's heated from mid-November to mid-April.

Enjoyable Resort !

Stayed during October Half Term as a family of 4 adults 3 children ages 7, 11 & 16. Once you endure the airport which hasn't got any better since we visited 7 years ago you can start to enjoy yourself, this alone would put most off the country sadly... advice when you enter the Airport make your way over to the left where there are desks with 'Thomson' get your landing card stamped with Sinai only which means you don't require a visa if staying within Sharm then join the endless queue for passport control "2 booths open" 4 flights landed !!!!! A cheer went up after an hour of not moving when they opened one more! Hotel transfer quick 20 mins and check in swift, food awaits you before you check in and your bags will be at your room waiting or soon after. Takes a while to locate rooms mainly also because the lighting is very poor the resort is big but within a day you get your bearing its not as big as some caribbean resorts. We had a deluxe overlooking gardens very peaceful, large clean rooms, but deluxe no just nice, the tv has English channels but reception poor, minibar well stocked plus room for your own personal items, we did request for this to be emptied but it never was. Take mozzie spray for the room and outside I never ever get bit but they took a liking 12 on one leg!!! Restaurants all very good and great variety, the main one is where you get bottled water either ask waiters or when you go in & they will serve or go up to the bar on left hand side and its stocked for you to help yourself, make sure you get enough as you can only get cups of water in the day at pool bars. Indian was good although the butter chicken dish very watery all other dishes great. Try out the stone grill one night you have to pay but its worth it, cook your own steak £12 it was absolutely divine and so nice eating outside by the lazy river with no hustle and bustle of main dining room. We took sterling and euros and within the lobby is 2 machines atm type you just feed in your money and out pops Egyptians pounds! Beware the Metro supermarket outside only takes Egyptians pounds, everywhere else will take Sterling no problem. Within the hotel there are a number of shops, the one by the main restaurant sells named trainers etc. at a cheaper price, a pair of converse were about 14 sterling very good lookie likey!! If you want leave the Hotel there are 4 shops directly outside hotel doors, a chemist, sunglasses, picture & handbag shop. The handbag shop is my idea of heaven and I picked up a Mulberry Leather bag for 40 sterling, beware he doesn't barter in there as his bags are much better quality than most shops outside! At the main gates before you leave the resort you will need to give your party size & room number and where you are heading, its all security related but its quite safe outside and you will only be hassled to ride a camel or go into shops a polite but firm no thanks and they are fine! Bobby the camel within the hotel is a must 10 sterling for adults 5 for children gives you a ride along the beach and into the sea with photo opportunities, he is very tame no spitting or biting and even gives you a kiss in return for an apple! The handler is friendly and gives good advice about the resort & if you ask will tell you all about Bobby! Trying to get sunbed around both the entertainment or quiet pool was very difficult unless you were up at 7 am but I suspect this was because of half term, there was never any problem getting one in the water park which opens at 10 am, the staff are super friendly and will go out their way to help in any way they can. My 7 year old was allowed on the slides as he was over 1.20 m and he loved them but preferred the big pirate water play zone instead, we did find that they tended to shut certain slides for a few hours each day, but wasn't a big problem the lazy river was always open so a gentle float around solved that. We hired a private speedboat which took us out to Tiran island for snorkelling and showed us a Russian ship wreck it was a fantastic trip for 7 of us about 80 sterling for a 3 hrs trip, we also did quad biking in the desert, a trip to Soho Square & hired sedgeway type scooters all through Falcon thoroughly recommend using this company top notch and we were well looked after, see a man called Alfa Mohmaed and he will ensure you have a great time, come out of the back of the hotel turn left and walk along he is situated just along the beach promenade path. He also sells dongles for Wifi as the hotel is non existent. You will get pestered around the pools by the spa guy you really need to say No firmly otherwise he will go through every single treatment on the list with pictures and they are extremely expensive a pedicure £30 but a deluxe £50 difference use of an oil !!!! my husband got talked into one and they took a chunk out of his foot which resulting in bleeding and for the rest of the holiday it was very painful, in our opinion they do not seem to be qualified and their health & safety is not up to standard. Entertainment this is what lets the hotel down its just not set out right we felt, rows of seats like a theatre there should be lots of round tables with chairs, the acts were ok but nothing special, it just seemed to lack atmosphere, its such a lovely hotel and should have a main bustling bar area just outside reception but its tucked away in the water park and doesn't work. It didn't spoil out holiday as we were with other people and went outside the complex. I would recommend this hotel it was an enjoyable week away and the weather is guaranteed in winter, would we return probably yes but I think it was overpriced for what you got, I would say we would only return on a cheaper deal to the same hotel. There are so many hotels in Sharm and no where has ever tempted us back, may be we are picky but just 2.5K is a lot of money for 1 week. More

Overall favourite hotel, been 8 times!!

I have been going to this hotel for the past 6 years now and was my 8th time visiting in February and my parents 9th! Hands down our all time favourite hotel. We absolutely love Egypt (Sharm) for the winter as it's perfect for the weather and this is the best hotel we've experienced. We tried the Hilton in Sharks Bay after being here a couple of times to do something different and HATED it. We've never had a bad experience or any major stomach issues, what people need to remember is when you are going during the school holidays and in the heat it is so easy to spread illness so it is definitely not the hotels fault if this has happened in previous comments. The food is absolutely gorgeous, we've just returned from Mexico and I actually enjoyed the food more from here than I did in Mexico! Loads of variety that changes every night and good quality. The a la cartes are nice but nothing to rant and rave about. The beach is my favourite part as it is so peaceful and spacious and you can ALWAYS get a bed, the sea is beautiful too and a perfect place to snorkel and very safe. The area the hotel is in is absolutely perfect as it is so safe to walk out and about, you have a lovely English bar opposite called Bus Stop which is great for kids as it has Ipads and playstations etc in and free wifi in for them to play on, drinks are lovely and great atmosphere, you also have the Hard Rock just nextdoor which is nice for a visit but of course pricey, loads of shops and local bars to go into which are lovely and all the locals are so friendly. Yes there is hassle but just be stern and politely say no and walk away and it's not that big of a deal or that bad. Nabq Bay is definitely one of the best areas to be in Sharm as it's the quitest but the most built up for families and couples. The rooms are amazing, so spacious and modern and just lovely. The staff I can never ever fault, they do absolutely everything and anything for you, the cleaning staff are great and even try to make conversation and get to know you and will always leave a fab towel art, definitely tip them! The bar staff are great and will just bring your drinks over once they know what you like without even asking, tipping here goes a long way, it is certainly not compulsary but gives you that even better service from them and they don't expect much and appreciate it so much. You get waiter service on the beach which isn't advertised but they will come over and make sure you have a drink and clean up old ones. I can not fault this hotel and absolutely love Egypt which is so sad because of the recent events but 100% go to this hotel if you are a couple (OUTSIDE the school holidays tho, do not even think about it in the school hols if you are a couple) and perfect for the family with the amazing water park (which is not in your face and you won't even notice it if you don't want to use it as it is tucked away nicely), the water park is very clean and modern and even has balinese beds in which was a nice surprise for the parents and even couples! Thank you for Coral Sea for some of our best holidays, we will definitely be back again soon :)More

Excellent Yet Again

Excellent hotel hence the reason we've now been 8 times. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels everyday. Fruit & cakes were also delivered every day. Towels & petals are left for display on your bed. Hotel staff are amazing & so friendly. Hard working with long hours but still make a special effort to be very attentive to everyone. Especially Samir, Karim, Ehab, Hossam & Foxy. going out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Thank you to you all x Animation team work tirelessly all day & night to keep you entertained. A special mention to Lauren, Matthew, Anthony & Jamaica. Thank you for your pleasurable company!! Had a great night at The British Pub with Lauren & friends we met. Thank you again Lauren x Food is always fresh with something for everyone. The barbeques are frequent and amazing both at lunch & dinner. Indian & Italian restaurants are lovely as well, as is the Mermaid which is situated right beside the beach. The Waterpark is well worth a visit as well. All in all Coral Sea Waterworld is absolutely Fabulous & would recommend to all.More
