Pegasos World

If you want both the big and beautiful boxes ticked off, head for this place. The new waterpark’s is out of this world, and the beach isn’t far behind thanks to its Blue Flag rating.

This place wasn’t satisfied with having one of the best pool scenes in the Med, so it’s added a fab new waterpark to its portfolio.

You’re just a hop, skip and jump away from the beach here. A wide avenue leads right down to Blue Flag sands that go on for more than half a mile.

Onsite waterpark

There's something for everyone to enjoy at the waterpark here. Little ones get their own area with a bunch of mini-slides, while bigger kids can race down the Masterblaster, the Super Bowl or the multi-lane chutes. And just so you know, some of the slides here will have height restrictions.

Hotel-run miniclub

Kids over 4 years old get their opportunity to show off some moves at the mini-disco. Plus with the club being open through the day it allows children to make holiday friends.

Outdoor pool

Generous in size, the pool here makes a splash with its 2 waterslides. It's also in a prime spot next to the bar, keeping you topped up with drinks and snacks.

Mixed Feelings About The Hotel

We stayed here from 4th June - 11th June, so a lot may well have changed in the space of five months, but here is our experience.. WELCOME AND ROOM- After a 4.5 hour flight, Pegasos World was the last stop on the coach. We got checked in, and left our luggage with a porter, who explained to us, using a model of the hotel, where our room was. There was no "Welcome Tour" which everyone speaks of, although this wasn't a problem as we like to explore the grounds of a resort ourselves. Our room was in Block 4, the block that hasn't been refurbished yet. We found it easily due to the close proximity to the restaurant. When we opened the door we were pleasantly surprised by the size, but disappointed with other aspects. The bath was rather difficult to get in and out of, even when using the step provided. By the time we'd finished looking round the room, we were still waiting for our luggage. This took a good 30 minutes to arrive. I'd looked at reviews before I left to find that the porters expected a tip. 5€ is an acceptable amount to give. To be fair, I wish we could've took the luggage ourselves, it would have been less hassle. The air conditioning in the room was excellent, and I found that I could sleep very easily. The maid was great, and put towel animals with petals on our bed some days. FOOD- At the main restaurant, British tastes aren't really catered for, but it's interesting to try dishes from around the world. I enjoyed the Asian theme night as there was sushi amongst lots of other dishes. I'd mainly eat the same things for breakfast (cheese, pastry, a few pancakes) as there was little variation from day to day. It's difficult to find a table sometimes, and once our table was taken away from us whilst we went to get drinks! Our waiter, Ismail, noticed and from then on reserved us a table every night with petals and drinks service. He was hard working and the only member of staff we had regular contact with. We ate at the Italian restaurant one night, not bad, but I wish they'd give customers a wider choice of dishes. I wasn't able to eat at the Turkish restaurant as the only dish available for starter there contained nuts and I am allergic. I appreciate the fact that most food in the main restaurant is labelled with symbols to show what it contains, but why not the desserts as well? I had to miss out on several delicious looking cakes for fear of them containing nuts. The snack bar was ok, but it had the same things every day so got very boring after a while. The yoghurt needs to have a lid over it, as the sweet smell attracts flies which land in it. It's a shame because the yoghurt was really good! The pancakes from the ladies near the beach are worth a try, it's very interesting to see how they are made. POOL, WATERPARK AND BEACH-The pool and water park are the stand out features of the hotel. The pool is at a great temperature, and seemed to be well-staffed by the lifeguards when I was there. If you want a peaceful sunbathe, where you can't hear entertainment over the tannoy, go to the section by the waterpark entrance near the water fountain. It's difficult to get a sunbed, as many before me have mentioned, and when you eventually do get a sunbed, people from the hotel come around bothering you, asking whether you want tattoos, a photoshoot, your hair cut, hammam etc. I've paid for all-inclusive, so I'll spend as little as possible thank you! The trick is to pretend to be asleep.. I loved the waterpark, especially the half pipe slide, however cushioning needs to be added to the end bit of the slide as I almost hit my leg on the side whilst coming down at high speed. Music adds to the fun atmosphere in the park, but don't go on the slide on the middle floor unless you have two people riding that are 18 stone combined.. you'll get stuck!! The lifeguards will come and save you! The fridges or water, tea/coffee and cold drink dispensers dotted around the pool are a great idea. The sea is a lovely temperature in June, and it's nice to sit at the bar with a drink and watch the waves come in. Be careful though, the sand and the wooden floor around the pool is terribly hot. ENTERTAINMENT- The entertainment was impressive and professional on some nights, other nights worth a miss, but they have to cater for many nationalities. Standout shows for me were Alice in Wonderland and the musical show with songs from the likes of "We Will Rock You" and "Chess". Unfortunately the hotel song got on my nerves after the first two times! The entertainment finished at 22:30 which wasn't a problem for me as I enjoyed relaxing in the indoor bar with a cocktail. SURROUNDING AREA- Take the Dolmus #10 (Bus) into Side rather than a taxi, as you could be ripped off. Just to let you know, the bus number changes when the bus starts its return journey back to the hotel (to #11). If I remember rightly, it is no more than 2€ each. The amphitheatre in Side is worth seeing but that's it, the rest of it was just people trying to get you to eat in their restaurants. FIRST CHOICE REPS- I actually saw the First Choice reps more than the hotel staff! We didn't go to the welcome meeting but they dropped a leaflet through just to check whether we needed anything, excursions etc. The three of them were so friendly and an asset to the company. We concluded that the hotel is more suitable for those with children. As we left, managers from the hotel came to see us off, but it was the first time we'd met them! I will probably not come back, but if I ever did I would be sure to have a child with me!More

Mixed review

We stayed for 11 nights from 24th Oct to 4th Nov. We have mixed feelings about the holiday. We are a family of 5 (two adults, 5 yrs, 4 yrs and 9months). Due to the storms our plane was diverted to another airport where we waited on the plane for several hours without refreshments/food before taking off and landing at original airport. This meant instead of arriving at hotel early afternoon we arrive at 22:30. Although we got a tour of the hotel no food was available, upon asking we were informed a midnight bar had snacks. We were all so tired the thought of staying up was not an option. This was not a good start to the holiday. My other half picked up a tummy bug and ended up having to pay to see the doctor. He thinks it was the fish as we only ate in the hotel and he was the only one who tried the fish. The outdoor pools are freezing, so much so that no one really used then which was a shame as they looked amazing. The people in hotel seemed friendly and the people running the kids club were great, my girls loved it. The evening disco for kids went down a treat. Well done to those as they seemed to work very long hours. The food in the restaurant was Ok. As with all buffets the temperature of the food was not great and sometimes the queue for things like chips ran half way round the restaurant. Although they had plenty of food the same things seemed to rotate every few days. I know buffet food is always very difficult and we did always find something that we and the girls could eat. The service in the restaurant from our waiter "Alper" was fantastic, he brought us our drinks every night and reserved a table for us which was great as it is not always easy with 3 kids. It would have been a pain to have to queue for drinks. We came home on the 4th Nov, I understand the hotel was closing on the 5th. By the end it was so empty it started to feel really strange. Alper told us on our last day they only had 24 guests left. The good thing we could have my sun bed we wanted and could sit at the front for the evening entertainment, I can imagine in the height of summer it must be packed. Beach is fantastic with lots of sun beds and water sports, my girls went parasailing for the first time with me which they loved.More

Fantastic Holiday resort with amazing staff!!!!!!!

We went to Pegasos world from 17th October to 1st November as a group with our family. (6 adults, 4 children). I can only say that we had the time of our lives. Normally my wife and i do not like to do more than 10 days but this time we both did not want to leave. It's true that we experienced bad thunderstorms for 4 days but this cannot be helped, and the children did not notice as they had so much fun in the kids clubs and the indoor pool. There was an amazing choice of food available all day and we never got bored, this also applies to the bars and drinks!. As other people have stated, the bar variety seems basic but you can get the staff to mix you up almost any drink you like. The malibu and coke copy was amazing!!! Upon arriving we were swiftly met by Mustafa who gave us a quick tour then showed us to our rooms, and the family rooms were amazing with the most incredible showers, you didn't want to get out! The complex is vast and there is lots to do so we were never bored. Even though the children insisted we go to the childrens show every evening, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We are still singing captain popcorn is my name, gold and diamonds is my game.....falalalalalala hey!! This hotel is so good because of one main thing.....the people who work there. We had the opportunity to meet the most amazing people there who looked after us like we were family. So i want to take this opportunity to thank Tarik and Umut, you were both incredible and we are missing you already!! I also want to mention my new brother Nuri, you are a legend!!! These three people especially made our holiday great along with all the other staff who were lovely ( Mahir, Mustafa to name a few). Please go to this resort as you will not be dissappointed. Yes the pools are cold but you want to cool off from the hot sun don't you? Best regards and we look forward to seeing you next year!!!! The Harris family.More

Almost perfect holiday paradise

We returned to this hotel because there was no essential problem at all. We really enjoyed the resort as well as their food, which was excellent - good quality and wide choice of local and international dishes as well as diet meals available at all times. The resort is spacious and offers various water facilities not only for kids (pirate boat etc.) but also a brand new water park for all! Just a few weaknesses to be mentioned: receptionists are often confused, busy and prefer Russian or German rather than English; Kids' animation program is too loud and not all places are "disabled-friendly". However, it is still worth to visit this Turkish paradise.More

Would not return

We did get bad weather but the hotel did not seem to be geared up to cope with this at all. None of the entertainment which we would generally associate with this type of hotel was brought indoors (water polo etc) which could easily have been as there was a large indoor pool. The place felt like it was being closed up behind us with shops and games etc being dismantled which added to the leaks meant everywhere felt a bit desolate. The only restaurant which seems to be open was the main one which then doubled as the snack bar. When the sun came out the water slides invariably weren't put on which was the point of booking a splash world. The pools were freezing, should have a heated area in the colder months. I would say pay a bit extra and go to a holiday village - the standards seem significantly higher in terms of entertainment and interaction. It may be better in the baking sun but nothing gave me grounds to want to go back. More
