Sol Aloha Puerto Hotel

This hotel has an ace up its sleeve – it’s right on the beachfront, minutes from the upscale marina.

This place and the beach make great bedfellows. If you’re in a sea-view room, you’ll be waking up to the Med. And location-wise, it’s just 3 minutes’ walk from a marina ringed with shops and bars.

Along with a cracking seafront setting, the large pool, the bowling green and the late-night bars keep guests coming back here.

Very enjoyable

Stayed twice previously & would not hesitate to stay again. Paid a bit extra for a marina view. We had a high room so the view was marvellous. Good size room with everything you need. Service friendly throughout the hotel and we enjoyed the happy hour. Food excellent at both breakfast and dinner. More than enough choice of both hot and cold buffet. Cannot comment on entertainment or pool facilities as we didn't make use of them.More

Outstanding

Outstanding view, outstanding staff, outstanding food selection, outstanding proposed refurbishment etc., etc. My wife and I have visited this hotel at least twice/three times a year for ten years - always off-peak. We have occasionally been disappointed, but our frequency of visit surely indicates our affection for the Aloha. As a retired couple, we will continue to maintain our frequency of visit, enjoying our convivial chats with the many other repeat visitors and the kindness of the professional, friendly staff.More

Good stay

We live in spain and frequently visit the coast for a break. Torremollinos is excellent and cannot be faulted at all. You need never cross a road or take out your car, but you can still walk for hours each day. The hotel is functional, clean and well run. The pools are very good, deep and never crowded. The sun bed issue is ridiculous, with British holiday makers acting very foolishly and claiming 'their' beds from 8am, but hey ho, we never sit around pools anyway. The food is extremely good and again, it cannot be faulted, but the dining experience is something short of wonderful. Evening entertainment surprising very good. Would recommend this hotel.More

Nice Hotel

This hotel was the first of 4 that we stopped at during a 2 week visit to the Costa Del Sol. The hotel is in a great position on the promenade, close to the Marina of Benalmadena and the pubs and shops in Torremolinos and La Carihuela. The food in the restaurant is good and plentiful and the staff are pleasant. The one downfall of this hotel is the beds. My wife is recovering from an operation and the beds were so hard at one point lay on the tiled floor as its felt more comfortable. We asked if we could change the mattress but were told that all beds in the hotel were new and they were all like that. Other than that the hotel would have been perfect.More

Jnr Suites very disappointing

Booked Jnr Suite which was very disappointing, the first room we got did not have balcony as it was closed in with just window to open, which could not be left open during the night, The room smelled the ceiling was dirty with yellow stains and chipped paint. The room was dark and dreary and felt like we had been sent down to the dungeon! The JNR Suits are on the Ground floor and I would not recommend. We complained and did get move the another building still Jnr Suite but at least this had balcony we could open and and let some air in, it did not smell as bad and was a bit brighter! The walls however were paper tin, OMG You could hear everything in the rooms next door and above, got very little sleep. The location of the Hotel was very good, We were half board, the breakfast and dinner was OK, not gourmet, but there was good choice and you would always get something you liked. The hotel seemed to be booked out so it was a little crazy at times in the dining room Staff were nice and the pool area is lovely but very difficult to get bed. Certainly will not stay in Jnr Suite again, We had a peep at the rooms up stairs, I would say very difficult to get sea view and really ALL the rooms could do with an upgradeMore
