Sol Aloha Puerto Hotel

This hotel takes some beating when it comes to location. It's claimed a spot right on the prom, just a 3-minute walk from a marina that lines up places to eat, drink and party. There are two pools in front of the hotel, one forming an L shape around the other. Inside, meanwhile, all the bedrooms have a separate living area with a roomy sofa-bed, and a balcony with sea or mountain views. This place does well in the food and drink stakes, too. There's a buffet restaurant that comes with an Italian corner, where pizzas fresh from the oven are the order of the day.

Easter break

Just back from 1 week all inclusive break. Party of 4 with ages raging from 13 to 80. Hotel was good. We upgraded our rooms on arrival as the rooms allocated were on the ground floor down a dingy corridor and overlooked a pathway - no view whatsoever so the upgrade was worth it. Rooms are a good size - having a separate living and bedroom was a bonus. Everything kept clean. The staff were lovely and always helpful. Salvadore at the bar was especially nice. The food was ok. A bit repetitive and could have been warmer at times. The main plus point of the hotel was the location. Outside the gate at the pool area is the Beach and the promenade that stretches for a couple of miles and a 5 minute walk in the other direction takes you to the marina at benalmadena - fantasticMore

Great value hotel for a break in the sun

We visited as a large family group (16 people) for a celebration and this hotel was perfect for the occasion. The location is great, right on the beach and down the promenade from the marina, and only a €25 taxi ride from Malaga airport. The facilities in the hotel are great and the breakfast selection was very impressive, especially given it was included in the very reasonable price. The staff were very good at accommodating us during our stay and were very happy to grant any special requests as well. Will definitely be back if I need another break in the sun!More

Great Spot

We booked this hotel last minute all inclusive. The hotel is clean, the staff extremely helpful and the location amazing. We emailed the hotel before we arrived to request a low floor and they emailed straight back and on arrival we were allocated a low floor. The rooms are clean and although they do need updating the fact that you get a suite is a bonus and gives you a lot more space. The bar area is lovely, it is raised and you can see straight out over the pool and out to sea. A lovely view whilst sipping all inclusive cocktails! We were all inclusive and the food was good, you could always find something that you wanted to eat, it was always hot and the staff in the restaurant were very helpful and efficient. There was entertainment in the evenings, some better than others! The location was amazing: just across the path from the beach, five minutes walk from Marina at Benalmadena and 2 minutes walk from Torromolinos. A fantastic Easter break, We would definately stay again.More

One nigh stop over

Very satisfied with this sol hotel , food , rooms cleanthiness , entertainment , drink prices a little high but with the entertainment it was worth staying , reception couldn't do enough for us after arriving at 930 we were still able to get our dinner even though it finished at 930 , restaurant staff were helpfull and very polite , the only fault I can make with this hotel was that it was a bit noisey in the room at night some sort of machine kept purring away , but overall for the price it was great More

Brilliant stay!

We stayed at the Sol Aloha Puerto for 10 days in March. The hotel is really good! So clean and airy! We had 7th floor suite, sea view was excellent. Our bedroom was very large and nicely decorated, it was also nice to have a seperate sitting room to relax in. There is a fridge in the suite but, unless you buy the mini bar, you are asked to pay for the use of it. Our towels were changed each day and bedding every 3 days. Pools were not too busy as the weather was good but not for swimming. There is a small outside bar with lots of tables and chairs, which looks out to the sea, so it was a very pleasant place to spend a couple of hours (especially during happy hour at lunch time). The restaurant is large and the food was "brilliant!" my only grumble about the restaurant was how noisy it was. As it has no soft furnishings at all, the noice seemed to echo and once it filled up, it felt quite unpleasant, so we went down early every day to miss the crowds. The main bar/lounge was brilliant! Its large with many tables and chairs and some soft, white settees to lounge in. Internet access not available in the rooms unless you pay for it. I paid 20 euros for three days but for some reason I could not get onto it...but my money was refunded and I did find some free WIFI areas in other bars out side. I'm sure we will be going back soon. My regards to the hotel staff, who were very cheerful (especially the Restaurant Manager) Looking forward to my next trip.More
