Stayed for a week 9-16/9/14
Accommodation is excellent, clean and modern, clean towels every day and bedding changed twice during our stay. Stayed in a sea-view room view slightly spoilt by overlooking back of nearby bar. Air conditioning was excellent which was good with temperatures in the 30's. Food choice was limited but there was always plenty available and it was well cooked and presented. My one complaint was the evening entertainment, mainly quiz nights and the area for the entertainment was not very good, next to the pool and limited seating unless you wanted to sit on a school bench! The main bar was excellent. Free wifi was good although a bit annoying having to log in again if not used for a while. Having said all this I would definitely return to this hotel in the future.More
Excellent position, very close to the beach. We stayed in the above hotel and resort for one week from the 13th to the 20th August 2014. The staff were extremely friendly especially the restaurant greeters, the outside pool bar staff and the entertainment team were second to none especially Dan and Caroline. We stayed in the bungalow rooms which were excellent, very clean and nicely decorated. The food was very nice and much like all all inclusives. More theme nights especially more greek food would be great.More

great food but.......
There is no way I would rate this hotel as a 4 star, rooms very basic, if you req. a sunbed on the "beach" be prepared to pay 10 euros per day for the pleasure. Nothing to entertain the kids apart from a 30 mins. mini disco in the evenings. The only 4 star thing about this hotel is the food which is excellent. The hotel is clean enough, staff are friendly and helpful enough, but be warned you are on the flight path for the airport & will be disturbed at 5 minute intervals day & night by incoming planes. I just wouldn't give it 4 stars, sorry.More

Me and my boyfriend took our first holiday here and we honestly could not fault it. We arrived at the hotel in late hours but were greeted by a lovely receptionist who offered us soup and bread and informed us of basic info about the hotel. Our room was spacious and spotless, it was overlooking the pool and the patio door seemed to block out any kind of noise when closed which was great. Air con was perfect and kept the room nice and cool especially during the night. Our room was also cleaned everyday, as well as fresh towels provided daily. What really made this hotel amazing however, was the food. From breakfast through to evening meal there was so much to choose from we struggled to decide what we wanted! As well as being plenty of choice though, the quality was outstanding. The selection of all inclusive drinks was also plentiful and again, drinks were of a good quality despite the cheap types you normally experience at many all inclusive hotels. The pool area was fine, I can imagine it being a little small during the high season but for the time of year we stayed (10-18 September) we never struggled to get a sunbed no matter what time of day. We enjoyed the aqua aerobics and watching the water polo in the pool which was run by the entertainment team. They really were fantastic providing games and sports throughout the day right through to kids entertainment, quizzes and games at night; never pushy either which was nice. We also enjoyed a couple of nights of live entertainment including Latin dancing and Greek dancing which were both brilliant and well worth a watch. For days out, we would highly recommend the WaterPark in Faliraki for young couples (like ourselves) or groups, as well as families since the childrens area appeared to be good too! We payed 22e which we thought fair and took advantage of the free shuttle bus from Rhodes to get there. So many slides and fun things to do we didn't want to leave and agreed it was the best waterpark we have ever been to! We also ventured into Rhodes town: the main town was huge with shops such as Zara, H&M, Lacoste and Nike. However, the best park of Rhodes is definitely the old town. Rows and rows of old cobbles streets filled with markets and old churches and buildings which are free to look around. The whole town is encompassed in castle ruins, it is extraordinary. Finally, we did spend a day at the beach which is 40 seconds away from the hotel. The sunbeds were good value: we payed 8e for two sunbeds, a brolley, two bottles of water and wifi. The beach is stoney and the sea was rather choppy but still warm and enjoyable if you don't mind a few waves. The beach also had a nice breeze so you could enjoy sunbathing without getting too hot. Overall, our stay at this hotel could not be faulted in any way. We already want to return next year and would certainly recommend to anyone! Although this is a family hotel, the time of year we stayed (when children have gone back to school) means the hotel was mostly adults which we enjoyed since we travelled as a young couple. However, I feel it was also be perfect for families during the high season.More

This is how you do it !
Having done a week's all inclusive in Spain a couple of years ago which wasn't the best, decided we'd look elsewhere as we needed a two week holiday . Lalyssos Bay fulfilled our requirements based on the price and does deserve all the positive views it has been receiving . The cleanliness of the hotel in regards to the rooms , bars and pool are of a high standard . The beach is less than two minutes away from the hotel and is fantastic . As you walk down the path to the beach the hotel has its sunbeds on the right which costs €8 that includes water and the wifi , Patty's Lounge own the sunbeds on the left €6 but no water however they do great coffee's and other drinks as well as great food , beware the puddings very easy to have seconds ! Back to the hotel , the bar by the pool offer snacks which were pretty good. As for the alcohol please remember it's local so the taste/ strength will not be the same as certain brands people are familiar with . I also have to mention due to this hotel being managed by a family , it is very noticeable as the service was far more personal than what you would normally recieve from bigger chains . The lady who greeted us for all our main meals was very friendly , warm but efficient as we're all of the reception staff . The main guy that manages the bar in evenings was also brilliant despite being on his own a lot of the time . I also suggest sourcing any excursions at the local tour shops as Thompsons charge far too much which doesn't stand up to scrutiny . I also recommend those beach shoes as it is stoney when you enter the water . I met some wonderful people during our stay and wouldn't mind going back to this hotel at some point in the future and am happy to recommend it to others based on our experience.More
