Hotel Ialyssos Bay

New to the SuneoClub line-up, this hotel has clinched a great spot on a pebble and sand beach close to Rhodes town.

This place has all the hallmarks of a SuneoClub hotel, including the brand’s signature sunny décor and a buffet restaurant with live cooking stations.

The hotel looks out on Ialyssos Beach and is just a 10-minute drive from Rhodes Town. Plus, if daytrips are on the agenda, sights like the 2,000-year-old Filerimos Monastery are a 5-minute taxi ride away.

Value for money hotel

Stayed at this Hotel 20th to 30th June very clean, surprisingly enough despite some criticism food very good , rooms very spacious. one gripe we had was the drinks non alcoholic e g coke, sprite, Fanta , tonic were very , very sweet, not good for children's teeth, our wife's bought their own coke and tonic from supermarket. Entertainment typical Greece done by animation team, they really tried hard, but mainly for the younger ones. 5 minute walk to shops, bars and restaurants, worth going out for a meal in Rhodes town at night in the old town, be careful in some of the bars they do overcharge. Matt the First Choice rep is the best rep we have ever had, and we go on holiday 4/5 times a years, nothing to much trouble we could see why he is one of the top 3 reps with Thomson / First Choice, he knew you by your first name from day one, Well done Matt. I will not go to Rhodes again in June as we were eaten alive by Mosquitoes, we didn't use deodorant or perfume, sprayed ourselves with repellent and they still bit us. Would we go back to this hotel again yes but not in JuneMore

Couldn't fault anything!

Just got back from a week away with three friends, and had the best week! Although situated in a quiet area, getting a taxi at reception to places on the island such as rhodes town (new and old) and falaraki is so easy and the service is so fast! As for the food, it was so vast and there was literally something for everyone to enjoy, as well as being of such a high quality. My friend is a vegetarian and she also found there to be enough choices to enjoy different foods every night. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We stayed in a bungalow and couldn't be more pleased with the cleanliness and how spacious it was for all four of us (with fantastic air conditioning too). If you are looking for a beach holiday then I would say look elsewhere as the beach is not sandy, however the pool was perfect for what we wanted, and it was lovely to relax in the hot weather with the occasional trip to the pool bar to get snacks/drinks. I'd highly recommend going all inclusive at this hotel, Rhodes is a beautiful place and this was a perfect base to explore some parts of the island from!More

Ialyssos Bay weeks break

Firstly this is not. 4 star hotel in any shape or form. However it was a great base for us to travel around an amazing island. The rooms are very basic and dated take you own hair dryer but it was spotless clean and towels and sheets changed daily. One buffet restaurant you have to lay your own table with cutlery and get you own drinks. The food was ok varied but rather cold. To be honest we had two lunches there and two evening meals because we travelled about and the Tacernas are a must. The pool was small and crowded baby pool was small too and the tiles around the pool were slippy. They have constant loud music all day and the heat is quite intense. The pool bar is poor seats and pool area in need of a update. The beach is stoney and you really need little shoes to go in but there is a wonderful breeze.. You have to pay 6 euros a day for sun beds that's god two and a umbrella. The bar at night is so dated but the two staff especially Bill are lovely as are all the staff. I'm not looking to put people off the staff are so great but if your looking for all inclusive to stay on site you will be disappointed. Rhodes itself is aboustly amazing loved it wonderful island and so much to see. There's are little town just down the round with wonderful restaurants and bars and very good variety of shops. The car rental guy in the hotel is great. We had a convertible for 4 days for 120 euros .More

Third visit

we were greeted at the door by Robin who is the team leader of the Suneo Club, who was at the hotel last year. The receptionist knew us by sight and had allocated a room on the same floor as our previous visits. on arrival soup was available and going to the bar we were recognised by the barman. On entering the restaurant in the morning we were greeted by Julia and many of the waiters recognised us, not bad since nine months had passed. The food is buffet style and is similar to all hotels in the Med, if you are looking for bacon cooked as in Britain then you will be disappointed as it not fried. all the staff are very friendly and cannot help enough.More
