Great place to stay

A wonderful hotel to stay in. Helpful hard working staff. Good clean spacious rooms to stay in. Good hygiene and lovely food. Nice swimming pool. Only moan is having to pay for sunbeds on beach but this didn't affect our hols. Rhodes is a lovely place to go to. A great family holiday for you if you stay here. ☺More

Great hotel, great holiday

We stayed for a week in August, family of 3 with 8 year old. Very friendly and helpful staff, room excellent overlooking the pool. Beds very comfortable and huge! Air con works very well and not noisy at all. Food good, usual all-inclusive choices. Very clean room and all areas. Entertainment team, fantastic! Not pushy, but lots to join in with if you want. Good evening entertainment. Special mention for Robin who is wonderful and Georgina's great singing voice. Vibrant street with lots of shops and restaurants very close by, particularly in the evening. Sea lovely and warm, take water shoes if you have them as beach stoney! No complaints whatsoever, it is a great hotel in a great place and we had a fab time!More

A great holiday - read for tips! :)

My partner and I have just returned from a week at this resort. The hotel staff are all super helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make your stay more enjoyable! We went all inclusive which included all main meals, snacks from the pool bar and alcoholic drinks from 11am! - however the alcohol isn't very strong, no matter how much you drink you don't seem to feel drunk at all, which considering the heat is probably a good thing. The beer wasn't great so I would recommend sticking to cocktails and spirits with mixers. The food was okay, a lot of salad and fresh fruit and all your basic staples from chips, chicken nuggets, burgers and pizza. There was a hot counter where they would have different mains each night consisting of various pork or lamb dishes. I am a vegan and the lady who worked in the canteen was very helpful and ensured that there was something for me each day and even got the chef to make fresh humous for me everyday. There will be something for everyone, but the atmosphere is a bit lacking and does feel like a school cafeteria but it serves its purpose. The hotel itself was extremely clean, our room was cleaned everyday with the option of fresh towels everyday also. The rooms are basic but there is everything you need. The hotel provides beach towels to hire for a 6 euro deposit and then 1 euro a day per towel. There are 2 pools, but one is a small one specifically for babies/toddlers and the other is for everyone else. It's not huge and does get over crowded. There is an entertainment team who provide activities from aqua fitness to water polo and evening entertainment. This is great if thats what you are looking for on holiday however, for us it was the only down side to our holiday. There was a game of water polo EVERYDAY which took place in the shallow end of the pool which meant everyone else and all their inflatables were down the deep end... the aqua fitness also takes place in the shallow end with the same effect. So if you want a splash around it becomes quite difficult. Also the hotel information clearly states that reserving sun beds with towels is not allowed, but no one seems to pay attention to this, so you will need to get up early to ensure you have a bed! The entertainment team also play music throughout the main part of the day and if you are a 14 year old girl it's perfect, but if you're not, you may end up wanting to smash the speakers. The resort is great to chill out and do nothing. We visited Rhodes town which was a 20 min cab ride which cost 15 euros, this was an interesting day out but the drinks are a lot more expensive so be prepared. The location was only 20 minutes from the airport which was great as our flight was a late one! However being so close to the airport does mean a lot of aeroplanes passing overhead quite frequently, but you soon get used to this and it falls to the background. The hotel itself is about a minutes walk from the beach - the beach itself is a pebbly one and I would recommend something a bit more sturdy than flip flops and some of those swimming shoes if you want to swim in the sea. The beach beds are available to hire for 3 euros and you get a bottle of water with it also. There is a small hub of life about a ten minute walk away where there are various restaurants and bars. We went to a bar called the Royal which was extremely reasonable in price and the staff were super friendly! there are two restaurants I would highly recommend: Pezouli which is greek and Cavo Italiano which obviously is Italian - both are good value for money, a 2 course meal and drinks is roughly 50 euro, most likely less! This resort is a great place to relax but if you get bored easily I would recommend booking some excursions or taking plenty of books! It's more of a family atmosphere and I would say suited more for children... we are in our early 30s and late 20s and found it a bit cheesy - but definitely better than the option of drunken youths in Faliraki!!More

Would like to start with a few shout outs: Robin, Georgina, Mimi and Lushka deserve so much praise for all the work they put in all day every day. They don't even really get breaks as they will be bombarded by little kids wherever they go. I really enjoyed the evening entertainment that they provided (except the greek and latin nights which was external entertainment). I especially enjoyed the Miss Ialyssos Bay game show, although as the winner I am biased. All of the day time activities were a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed a lot of the foreign games, such as Smite and Kubb which I'd never heard of before this trip. They all made me feel very welcome, Mimi gave me a nickname based on my drink of choice (ouzo-like licorice so worth a try) which made me feel very comfortable. I was able to talk to Georgina and Robin about more personal issues when I had to and they were very understanding and helpful. Secondly, Artur, Sanday and Nicole (bar staff) they remembered my order very quickly, considering the amount of people they serve on a daily basis. Artur would often have my drink ready for me. Nicole was also exceptional, especially as she was only a trainee. The life guard was very good, unfortunately there was a fatality early on in my stay but the speed of which he responded was excellent. I was however a little bit uncomfortable when he left to get a drink as the pool was unmanned. All of the staff were lovely and would do anything for you, I just felt those people deserved some extra praise! The food was okay. Edible, but not the best thing about the hotel by any stretch. By the end of the week, both my parents and I felt a bit nauseous which may be down to alcohol not food as neither of my sisters felt it. The alcohol was watered down but I think that was good as it would have been dangerous to have a load of drunk people by a pool of small children. The pool was quite slippy, I fell over once on my last day but I nearly went a few times. I think it's the wrong flooring. If you go to Lindos remember where you parked the car! We made that mistake! Overall it was an excellent trip and I loved everyone I met.More
