With a beachfront setting, huge pool and serene spa, the Blau Varadero has tropical retreat written all over it.
Varadero’s white-sand beach underlines this high-rise hotel – the wooden walkway that leads through the grounds will take you to it. The waterside setting means the hotel gets fantastic sea views, too.
Tropical gardens hide a massive pool and a chic spa, while on the dining front you’ve got a triple helping of restaurants to pick between.

Just returned from a 2 week holiday - staying at the Blau Varadero - first impressions were great- the hotel was lovely staff friendly and could not do enough for you. Our room was more than adequate, and cleaned everyday. It was our first trip to Cuba and overall had a wonderful time - will definitely return to both country and hotel. And would not hesitate recommending The Blau to any friends or family thinking of visiting Cuba for the first time L & L BuckinghamshireMore
We just returned from our trip to Cuba. We chose an adult only as we wanted a quieter hotel. We really liked this resort but found compared to other places we've stayed in Cuba the staff isn't very friendly especially at the front desk. Our plane left at 3:00 AM and we had to check out of our room at noon. We were given the option of another room but had to pay 70 CUC. Our other choice was to shower before we left in the spa which we did. Then with travelling clothes on we sat for 8 hours waiting for our bus to airport. The buffet servers were friendly, chefs not and the bar staff could care less whether they served you or not. (even after we tipped) There are several managers walking around but they very seldom even smile at you let alone acknowledge you. The pool area and gardens are beautiful and our room which was a specialty room(10th floor and up to 14th) was very good. Food was overall very good except for the Mexican Restaurant which was not Mexican at all! I would look for a friendlier resort when going back to Cuba!More
Fabulous hotel - service with a smile!
This is a fabulous hotel, the service is first class throughout the hotel. The food and service in the restaurants is superb. The room is large with a safe and a view of the sea in the distance! We would definitely come back again!More

Great adult resort
Good food and great friendly staff and serviceThe 24 hr beach bar was an added bonus! We arrived at 4am and could get a bite to eat at the beach bar and a drink. The property is well cared for. Proximity to Varadero is a short bus ride or taxi.More
Typical all-inclusive resort
Efficient check in. Comfortable rooms, though there was something a little tatty about some of the furniture. The door to the bathroom was held on by three hinges, two of which had a nail running through the shaft ensuring the door swung open. However, it couldn't be shut properly or even locked. Cannot complain too much about the room though. The mattress was large and comfortable, the fridge well stocked, and the maid(s) did their job very well. Food was good, though one of our speciality restaurant trips was a bit disappointing. The Palma Real restaurant was billed as being the best and though the ambience and service were excellent as indeed was the presentation of some of the food, the small portions and the quality of the food were simply not in keeping with such a restaurant. I chose a lamb dish and the meat was dollopped on the plate like a stew. A bit sub standard. The Mexican restaurant was very good though, and the quality of the meat was far better. However, if I see another spoonful of Cuban rice and black bean sauce on my plate, it will be too soon. Does every really dish need to include this? Overall, a pleasant stay but we wouldn't be in a rush to stay there again. There are surely better quality hotels on the Varadero strip.More
