The Godfather

‘We’re going to make you an offer you can’t refuse…’ Well, this used to be Mafia country, after all. In fact, Hollywood descended on this part of the world to film scenes for the Godfather trilogy. This tour takes in some of the mountain villages that made it onto the silver screen. Little more than ghost towns, they’re virtually abandoned these days. There’s little Savoca, where you’ll find the church Michael Corleone – played by Al Pacino – got married in. And Medieival Forza d’Agro, where you’ll see the Church of Annuncation, also of Godfather fame. Even if you’re not a fan of the films, the views from these clifftop villages are second to none.
