WHEN TO GO
Mauritius sees sunshine all year round. Temperatures linger in the high 20s and early 30s between December and April, but the tropical climate in these parts means the odd rain shower will cool you down from time to time. And if you’re diving, this is the best time to visit. It cools down a bit between May and November, but temperatures are still beach-friendly – think mid-20s. It’s drier, too.

Passports and Visas
British citizens don’t need a visa for Mauritius, but do need a valid passport with at least 2 blank pages. For the most up-to-date passport and visa info, visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/mauritius/entry-requirements.

Health & Safety
You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover you while you’re away. If you’re planning on diving, check that your policy covers this. For the latest health and safety info, visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/mauritius/health
