Kardamena holidays lay you down in Kos' party playground. It's got a bevy of bars and clubs, as well as sandy beaches to recuperate on.

From beaches to beers

As far as resorts go, Kardamena’s the social butterfly of Kos’ south-east shore. This place has waved goodbye to its fishing village roots. Instead, it’s built up its rep as a clubbing hotspot, with a buzzing beach. And a bus to Kos Town will only set you back a couple of euros.

Chill-out days

Like most Greek resorts, the seafront's the life and soul of this town. The butterscotch beach is bumped by bars, pizzerias and souvenir shops. It’s only halted by a harbour, where you can hop on boat trips to the pretty isle of Nisyros. If Kardamena Beach is too lively for your liking, there’s another to the other side of the harbour, where you’ll find the flopped-out locals.

Party animal

When the sun dips, Kardamena really gets going. Bar Street has the biggest buzz. It’s not hard to guess what you’ll find here – bars, and lots of ‘em. Punters shout ‘yamas’ – the Greek word for ‘cheers’ – in themed bars, karaoke joints and basement clubs. And there are enough fast food joints to stuff your face in after a night on the town.
