Beaches

Known locally as Fisherman’s Huts, Hadicurari is the island’s windsurfing and kite-boarding Mecca, hosting the Hi-Winds World Challenge around June each year. It also provides the waves for brightly coloured boats to drift along.

Palm Beach is Aruba’s liveliest beach resort, with fantastic white sand, glorious blue water and a few bars and restaurants nearby. If you want to sunbathe, swim and have fun, Palm Beach is the place to be on your Aruban holiday.

Eagle Beach offers a quieter and more romantic option, while still giving you beautiful white sand, stretching as far as the eye can see.

Aruba’s capital, Oranjestad, offers the best prices, especially on items like perfume, jewellery and cosmetics and If you head to the harbour you’ll find shops selling local crafts.

The capital’s main shopping spot is Caya G. F. Betico Croes, better known as Main Street and, where you’ll find a few shopping malls.

Renaissance Mall and Renaissance Marketplace in Oranjestad house lots of shops, restaurants, casinos and a cinema. Just down the road, Royal Plaza Mall has upscale boutiques and plenty of places to eat.
