The gardens are the real talking point here. Weaving their way through the grounds, they come complete with palms, colourful blooms and crouching shrubs. There’s even a mini-lake with water lilies and a wooden bridge. There’s plenty of walkways, too, making them ideal for afternoon strolls.
One of the paths leads to the pool area, where you’ll find more greenery in the form of a palm-dotted lawn. A scattering of loungers makes it a popular sunbathing spot, too. As for the pools themselves, they’re lagoon shaped and are surrounded by a huge terrace that overlooks the sea. There’s a splash pool for the kids, as well as a lively snack bar serving up drinks and light lunches.
For proper meals though, the main restaurant is on hand with buffet fare. Food-wise, expect a mix of international favourites and traditional Spanish dishes. There are on-the-spot cooking stations at breakfast and dinner, too, so you can get the likes of pancakes and pasta made just how you like them. What’s more, the dining room comes with floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can look out at the gardens while you eat.
Elsewhere, the bedrooms are fairly traditional spaces decked out with bright colours and wooden furniture. They come with satellite TVs and good-sized balconies, too, as well as air-conditioning in the summer months.
Lastly, when you want to explore Benalmadena’s shops and beaches, you’re in the perfect spot. The hotel is just footsteps from an underpass, which will take you to the seafront promenade in less than five minutes.
