This place is more like an apartment village with hotel-style facilities than a hotel, which means it’s the perfect set-up for families. Plus you’ll find it on the banks of River Fuengirola, less than a 10-minute stroll from a beach that’s spot on for families.
Between the six-storey apartment block and the river lies the swimming pool. It’s a roomy, bean-shaped strip with a terrace made for lounging around in the sun. Little ones get a pool of their own, not to mention the added bonus of a Thomson Kidzone in the summer.
Inside, the apartments are nice and spacious. There’s a mix on offer, everything from one and two-bedroom apartments that have sofa beds in the lounge to child-friendly family rooms with bunk beds and games consoles. Each one has the same design. Cue bedrooms dressed in sunshine yellow and navy, marble bathrooms and living areas kitted out with satellite TVs.
In terms of extras, there’s a marble-floored restaurant where buffet breakfasts and dinners are laid on. There’s also a pool bar that serves snacks in the summer, and a spot-lit lobby lounge bar. On top of that there’s an adults-only area known as La Taberna Pub. All wood-cladding and wood floors, it looks like a spaghetti western saloon, and it’s the perfect setting for post-dinner drinks.
