A true Caribbean island, Cuba mixes vintage cars, fat cigars and a fun holiday flavour. With rich culture everywhere, Havana bursts with cool Cuban rhythms, colourful characters and crumbling architecture while, beyond the capital, you’ll find dazzling white shores, amazing diving and a tropical island.
Just below Florida, the beaches of Cuba are edged by the Atlantic Ocean in the north and the Caribbean Sea in the south.
Lose yourself in winding cobbled streets in Havana’s old town, which fill with the sounds of hypnotic salsa and the infectious laughter of its people.
With over 300 natural beaches, you really will be spoilt for choice on your Cuba holiday.
Undoubtedly one of the world’s best beaches, at Varadero, there’s 20km of white sand to laze on and plenty of watersports while, in Guardalavaca, the beaches are sheltered, with palm trees and small beach huts giving a rustic tropical flavour.
To save the best till last, Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo’s are little island-style retreats linked to Cuba by a causeway. Their soft paradise-like sand seems to stretch forever into shallow translucent water and is soaked in Caribbean sunshine.
