Cyprus’s east coast has something to satisfy all tastes: if you want glorious beaches, Nissi and Fig Tree Bay are real treats, and if you’re after a party paradise, Ayia Napa is the ultimate place to dance the night away. Brilliantly mixing fun and relaxation, this a top spot for friends, couples and families.
Cyprus’s eastern coast is known for its fantastic beaches, washed by the Mediterranean, and mix of fun nightlife and quiet resorts.
Discover beautiful landscapes, visit authentic villages and experience traditional Cypriot life on an excursion encompassing the treasures of northern Cyprus.
East Cyprus is blessed with stunning beaches, the most popular being in Nissi Bay, Ayia Napa, Protaras and Fig Tree Bay, where the sand is soft and the water is beautiful.
The beaches in Ayia Napa and Nissi Bay do get very busy so, if you’re after a quieter seaside experience, head to Cape Greco’s brilliant beach, where you can chill by day and see romantic sunsets by night.
To wake yourself up from lazing around on the sand all day check out the watersports on offer at Nissi Beach and Fig Tree Bay, where you can choose between the calm and thrilling water rides on offer.

Coach Tours
A selection of trips exploring Cyprus's traditional rural village life and historical treasures: visit Nicosia, Cyprus's divided capital; Lefkara, known for its silverware and lace; and the stunning Troodos mountain villages, famed for their wine.
There are plenty of well-known fast food outlets in and around Ayia Napa where you can take a bite, and restaurants serving up everything from surf and turf to traditional Cypriot food.
Meze’s a speciality in Cyprus; made up of lots of small dishes, you can fill up pretty quickly if you don’t pace yourself.
Seafood’s also very popular but, for the best local cuisine, head away from Ayia Napa to Larnaca or Famagusta.
If you’re after some serious party action then a holiday to Ayia Napa should definitely be on your wish list: Here you’ll find loads of top clubs pumping out tunes, and bars and restaurants serving food and drink till the wee hours.
Protaras has plenty of bars, pubs and restaurants of its own, but is more family-orientated, with kids’ amusements and karaoke bars.
Nissi Bay has its own bars, restaurants and nightlife, but the resort is better suited for families that want to enjoy an evening out than Ayia Napa, which is a clubbers’ paradise.
You’ll find shops and boutiques selling all sorts in Ayia Napa, from designer sunglasses and beachwear to electrical goods and souvenirs. Usually good value, they’re often cheaper than in the UK.
You’ll also find lots of mini-markets and gift shops in Protaras selling everything you could possibly want, from inflatable crocodiles to bread and milk.
Nissi Bay has less shops but is close to Ayia Napa, which has loads, and if you need to stock up, there are a couple of large supermarkets in Paralimni.
Regenerating mountain villages in Cyprus
When you book a holiday with us we’ll ask you to make a small donation to the World Care Fund. With your donations, we’re supporting the regeneration of inland villages and giving you a more authentic Cypriot experience with the new Discover the Real Cyprus driving routes. They take you to beautiful remote villages and you get to sample local food and drink. Ask your rep for a guide when you arrive in resort.
Our World Care Fund project partner, The Travel Foundation, is an independent sustainable tourism charity that works in close partnership with the UK travel industry to fund these projects.
