The tiny Mediterranean island of Gozo remains unspoilt and peaceful, so you can experience an entirely unique holiday, exploring timeless villages and traditional fishing harbours, discovering a diver's paradise in its turquoise waters and seeing the breathtaking scenery along the coastline.
The Maltese island of Gozo lies north of Malta and south of Sicily in the Mediterranean Sea.
Admire the setting of the sun over one of the world's largest natural harbours, from the private gardens of the Italian knights, at Valletta's beautiful Barracca Gardens.
The unique golden-red sands of Ramla Bay are the best place to laze on your Gozo holiday, with cafes, ice-cream kiosks, plenty of watersports to try and the famous Calypso’s Cave where, romantic Greek legend has it, Odysseus was kept captive for seven years by a sea nymph.
If you’re more water baby than beach bum, Gozo’s the place to holiday. From Marsalforn, divers can explore all the best sites, while nearby Qbajjar’s shingle beach and Xwejni are perfect for swimming.
On the south-west of Gozo, Xlendi Bay’s little stretch of sand and shingle offers fantastic swimming and snorkelling off the rocks around the beach.

Sicily
Whisking you across the Med to the island of The Godfather, you'll sail in a high-speed catamaran to cosmopolitan Sicily, to take in majestic Mount Etna and the pretty medieval town of Taormina.
Casino Gala Night
It's time to up the ante at Casino Di Venezia. After a romantic three course dinner, overlooking Grand Harbour, you'll be able to try your luck at the tables with some free gaming chips.
Gozo’s renowned for its delicious nougat, Gozitan bread, tomatoes and cheese and, with a superb selection of eateries, you can try local specialities in traditional restaurants; although there are also inviting pizzerias and other international options.
With the island’s distinctly Italian influence, there’s nothing better than walking along the waterfront with a gelato on your Gozo holiday.
Rabbit casserole, fresh fish and lamb dishes are also popular, especially when served with the local rosé wine. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, try Kannoli, delicious pastry stuffed with ricotta, chocolate and candied fruit.
Gozo’s most famous club, La Grotta, attracts world-class DJs and is set above Xlendi Valley near Victoria, with amazing views from its outdoor dance floor, where you can choose from five bars and grab a snack from the cafe. Its indoor dance floor is in a natural cave, along with three more bars and a pizzeria.
Victoria’s bars and restaurants are the place to chill out on your Gozo holiday, with laid-back wine bars around the main square and by the harbour. If you prefer plays to plonk, there are also two theatres in Victoria.
If you prefer, Marsalforn’s a good place to mingle with the locals in its harbour front restaurants.
Victoria has the best choice for shopaholics, with little shopping centres, souvenir stores and the new PrimeMall® due to open in autumn 2008, which will be filled with around 40 shops, a cafe, and a spa, complete with treatment rooms and an indoor pool.
Look out for brightly coloured blown glass and pottery; you can see artisans in action at Ta’Dbiegi Crafts Village in Gharb. Take home filigree jewellery and chance upon locals making intricate lace tablecloths and simple coasters in Victoria’s charming alleys and inside the citadel.
