For a touch of the traditional, the laid-back beach resort of Puerto Pollensa sits in the north, close to Formentor. Dotted with straw parasols, the main beach offers watersports but, if you want to escape, there are also small sandy shores along the pine tree-lined promenade. The yacht marina has a few bars and restaurants, with more choice in the market square.
