Hotel Bayview & Apartments   Three sun rating (This accommodation rating is a First Choice Sun Rating)

in Sliema , Malta

If you’ve got your heart set on a holiday boat trip, Bayview is just a hop and a skip to the waterfront where a small army of boats wait to whisk you off on tour. What’s more, buses to the capital and nearby St Julians regularly stop right by the hotel, so getting around the island couldn’t be easier.

The complex gazes out across to the history-fest that is Valetta so expect some stellar views - especially if you head up to the rooftop. And though the hotel puts you within easy reach of some pretty heavenly restaurants, you may well prefer to dine in instead. There are three top-notch eateries to choose from.

Firstly, there’s the Sea Star Restaurant, which does a great breakfast buffet as well as à la carte lunch and dinner. Then there are the Indian and Chinese restaurants, both of which offer up tastebud-tickling menus.

Food aside, it goes without saying you want your holiday hub to have a good pool and this one has a fine example up on the roof. There’s plenty of room to stretch out and sunbathe, with umbrellas and sunloungers providing the supporting cast.

And that’s not the only pool either. There’s another one indoors, along with a fully-equipped fitness room and sauna. When you’re ready to explore, slip on your flip flops and pad down to the rocky beach that’s an easy walk away. And don’t miss a trip into the centre of Sliema, which requires just a few minutes’ getting-there time.

About Malta
Malta’s a great Mediterranean escape. Think year-round sunshine, diamond-clear seas and cobbled towns hemmed with shops, bars and restaurants. It’s also earned itself the title as an open-air museum, so save a chunk of your time to retrace the footsteps of the Knights of St John in Valetta and visit Baroque palaces and ancient temples. You can also see where Hollywood epics Troy, Gladiator and Alexander were filmed on the island. An exciting mix of the past and present, Malta’s a destination that offers more than just a suntan.
