Feel the cool evening breeze as you watch the sunset disappear into the horizon from the harbour.
Of the many delights along Parga's stunning sand and shingle shores, Valtos's sheltered bay with its sand and pebble mix is a particular favourite. With a wide choice of watersports and a few cafes and tavernas, it's about 20 minutes' walk from Parga Town, or a boat ride from the harbour if you're feeling lazy.
At Preveza, Ai Sostis Beach has beautiful clear water and a charming little church, wedged between two rocks. Other noteworthy beaches include those at Chrysogiali, Krioneri, Lychnos and Sarakiniko.
Epirus Explorer
For a real taste of culture, this tour takes you north of Parga to the Epirus region's capital city, Ioannina, where you can discover the Byzantine castle, where tyrant ruler Ali Pasha held court, Lake Pamvotis and the Island of Ioannina, with its cobbled streets full of shops, and Dodoni's ancient amphitheatre.
Corfu Town
Enjoy a relaxing day cruising along the Ionian Sea to Corfu Town, Corfu's bustling, elegant capital, designed by the Venetians. From enjoying the ambience in delightful pavement cafes to browsing shops and wandering narrow streets in the Old Town, this is a great place to spend time.
With the chance to enjoy mouth-watering dishes on your Parga holiday, you'll find a wealth of international restaurants along the harbour and on the hillside near the castle.
In the more traditional tavernas, tuck into grilled feta cheese, served with tomatoes and herbs, and Kleftiko, baked lamb or goat.
As in most of Greece, seafood is very popular and delicious; there's nothing better than marinated sardines with a glass of locally produced Zitsa wine. Stored in barrels, this drop is excellent, particularly the red variety.
Whether you're after a relaxed evening with dinner and a few cocktails on the waterfront or livelier holiday nights out, Parga Town has it all. For beautiful views across the water and a fun crowd, head to the Sail In bar in the town's old quarter.
You'll find busy and quiet bars along Parga Town's harbour, many offering free shots of ouzo. If you want to get on the dance floor, there are three discos along the town's main quay.
For a spot of shopping on your holiday, Parga Town's little cobbled streets and harbour are great for exploring, with an endless string of shops selling souvenir blown glass, ceramics, dried herbs and leather, especially designer bags.
Handmade jewellery is the perfect gift from northern Greece, with the town of Ioannina famous for its filigree silver. Woodcarvings, flokati sheepskin rugs, olive oil and olive soaps are other popular buys.
For a real taste of Greece, visit the ouzo factory in Parga Town, where you can also pick up brandy and kumquat and cherry liqueurs.
