This small hotel has a real home-from-home feel to it. There are only 15 studios, which means the atmosphere is really friendly and laid-back. And because the staff regularly put on barbecues, Greek nights and poolside games, the place can get quite lively, too.
Day-to-day life here tends to revolve around the swimming pool. It’s a good size, and comes surrounded by loungers, tables and chairs. At one end, you’ll find a small taverna. Open all day, it serves up home-cooked Greek dishes alongside favourites like full English breakfasts. The adjoining sports bar, meanwhile, pulls in a crowd with its widescreen TVs. Kitted out with football shirts and scarves, it’s a great place to catch the big games.
As for the studios here, they’re simple but comfortable. Whitewashed walls and pine furniture give them a traditional Greek feel, while TVs and air-conditioning add modern touches. All of the rooms come with a kitchenette, too, for those times you fancy eating in.
When it comes to location, the Christakis is in a great spot. The beach is a fifteen minute walk away, and you’ll find a handful of restaurants along the way. The bus stop is nearby, too, which makes it really easy to get to Skiathos Town.
