A meal or snack is served on all flights booked online, but in-flight drinks must be paid for on charter flights. Most charter airlines will include in-flight entertainment although headsets will be charged for in some cases.
This depends on where you are flying and which airline you are using.
On a First Choice Airways shorthaul flight you will have 28" of legroom in a normal Economy seat, or 33" if you have upgraded to the Premium service.
For First Choice Airways longhaul flights, there is between 33" of legroom in a normal Economy seat, or 36" if you have upgraded to the Premium service.
On First Choice Airways flights, you can reserve extra legroom seats for an additional charge. You can reserve these seats by selecting the Book Extra Legroom option on the Holiday Price page or by phoning First Choice Airways on 0871 664 0144. They must be booked at least 7 days before departure. Please note: Extra legroom seats cannot be reserved for ticketless flights.
Limited in number, these seats are placed at the emergency exits and are for adults only who must be a minimum age of 14 years on shorthaul flights and aged between 20 and 65 years on longhaul flights.
For safety reasons, there are restrictions on these seats. You and your party must be able bodied, have no medical conditions and, in the opinion of the cabin crew or check-in staff, have the strength, dexterity and full mobility required to operate the emergency exit door. Your airline reserves the right to move you if it is felt that you or your party do not comply to the safety regulations.
If you book your holiday online, you can select the Sit Together option on the Holiday Price page. If booking a flight online, you can select the Group Seating option on the Passenger Details page (excludes ticketless flights).
Reserved seating is available with a number of the airlines used by First Choice, as long as you book at least 7 days before departure. Due to the fact that aircraft types are subject to change we cannot guarantee how the seating on your aircraft will be configured and your seats may be separated by an aisle. Please note that for safety reasons, adults sitting with more than one infant cannot sit together, as there are only extra oxygen masks available for one infant per row on the aircraft.
Passengers with special needs or who require a wheelchair can pre-book seats without charge on provision of medical proof.
On some flights, we are able to offer upgrades to a premium service. If booking a holiday online, premium service upgrades (when available) will be in the Change/Upgrade Flight section on the Holiday Price page. If booking a flight online, if there is a premium flight available, this will be shown on the Search Results page or Flight Price page.

Congratulations!!! And please let us know by calling us on 0871 664 0144. We will carry your wedding dress and other important accessories in the hold free of charge (up to 10kgs per couple). You, your family or friends can arrange bottles of champagne, chocolates, an upgraded meal, use of the VIP lounge and special check-in arrangements by calling us no later than 4 days before you fly with us.
It is important to check your flight details and times on receiving your ticket. We advise you to check in at least 2 hours before departure unless you have pre-booked your seat in which case you can check in 90 minutes before departure.
If you are travelling with First Choice Airways and flying from Gatwick, Birmingham or Manchester airports, you can now save time by checking in between 1200-2200 hours on the day before you travel. The next day you then go straight through to the departure area and avoid the check-in queues. This service must be booked at least 4 days prior to departure and is not available for passengers travelling with ski equipment.
If you have pre-booked early check-in, all members of the party aged 12 and over must attend check-in the day before you travel. The lead person named on your booking can check in any children in the party (if under the age of 12) provided the children have the same surname. They will need to take the letter of confirmation from First Choice Airways, everybody's tickets and passports, plus all baggage.
This service can only be booked through First Choice Airways on 0871 664 0144 and costs £5.00 per person.
If there is more than one terminal at your UK airport your tickets will usually state from which one your flight will depart. It is always your responsibility, however, to confirm the terminal your flight departs from.
If you need more information please telephone the passenger information line at the relevant airport, or check out their website:
To request a vegetarian meal please call us on 0871 200 7799. To request other types of special meal onboard, please call First Choice Airways on 0871 664 0144. We will do our best to provide a meal according to your requirements.
Flight times vary depending on which UK airport you are departing from. Routes which operate via connecting airports will take longer.
Flight durations appear during the online booking process. Take a look at Our Flying Schedule.
In response to most of our customers' wishes for clean air onboard, all First Choice Airways flights are non-smoking. This is common policy amongst all leisure airlines. In the interests of fire safety, all our lavatories are fitted with sensitive smoke detectors.
Please also note that most airports only allow smoking in specially designated areas, and some do not permit it at all.
Of course a relaxing drink or two is fine - you're on holiday after all! But in the interests of fellow passengers, excessive alcohol consumption is not permitted. Therefore it is an offence to be drunk when onboard the aircraft. Passengers who are drunk can be refused flights, including return flights, and face prosecution.
Please remember that you are not allowed to drink your own alcohol on the plane.
Although most flights depart on time there are unfortunately occasions when for reasons beyond First Choice's control a flight is delayed. If your outbound or return flight is delayed First Choice believe it is our responsibility to look after you. First Choice will do their best to keep you informed and, depending on airport facilities, will provide light refreshments for a delay of between 3 and 4 hours. If the delay is between 4 and 8 hours First Choice will provide a meal at meal times. For a delay of between 8 and 12 hours, First Choice will provide if necessary (and possible) overnight accommodation.
If travelling on scheduled flights, First Choice may not be represented in person. In these circumstances you must liaise directly with your airline carrier for information and assistance.
Compensation is not offered by First Choice in the event of a delay to your flight. However, if your outbound flight is delayed by more than 12 hours you may cancel your holiday and receive a full refund of the money you have paid to us. Please also refer to the relevant section of your travel insurance policy.
If your holiday is on an All Inclusive board basis, please note that the All Inclusive meal and drink arrangements applicable to your hotel are valid only during your period of occupancy at your hotel, and in the event of a flight delay, arrangements for your refreshments will be as outlined above.
As with all travel arrangements, we strongly recommend that you purchase adequate Travel Insurance for your holiday. If you require confirmation of a delayed flight for insurance purposes, we will either issue one on arrival or you can request one from First Choice Airways by calling 0871 664 0144 or emailing fca.customercare@firstchoice.co.uk.
Your airline will be shown on your tickets.
