Security Measures: Hand Luggage
First Choice Airways' Security Measures
First Choice customers may now carry a limited quantity of liquids, i.e. gels, lotions, pastes, liquid cosmetics, foams and foodstuffs in their cabin baggage.
To avoid any unnecessary delays to your journey, please continue to pack permitted liquid items into your checked in baggage. If you need to carry liquid items on board, to ensure you arrive at the airport prepared, please take time to follow these rules:
- All liquids must be carried in individual containers not greater than 100ml capacity
- All containers must be placed in one transparent re-sealable bag (such as 'ziplock' bags or bags with pressable seals), no larger than 20cm x 20cm (8" x 8") in size and not larger that one litre in capacity. The containers must fit comfortably inside the bag so it can be fastened closed. These bags are available from most major supermarkets
- Only ONE transparent re-sealable bag is allowed per customer. Larger or non-sealable bags, (such as fold-over sandwich bags) are NOT allowed
- Your one transparent re-sealable bag must fit into your single piece of hand luggage
- All customers must remove the clear plastic bag from hand baggage and place it in on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening
- Liquids in containers of more than 100ml capacity must be packed in your checked in baggage
Please remember 'liquids' include:
- All drinks, including water, soup and syrups
- Perfumes, lotions, oils, mascara etc
- Pressurized containers including shaving foam and spray deodorants
- Pastes, including toothpastes
- Hair and shower gels and lip gloss
- Any other solutions and items of similar consistency
Essential medicines and baby food may be permitted in larger quantities above the 100ml limit, but will be subject to the following authentication.
- Essential medicines in liquid form must be sufficient and essential for the flight (e.g. diabetic kit), all non-essential medical items must be placed in hold luggage. Passengers must also bring with them a medical declaration, e.g. prescription or other supporting documentation from a relevant qualified medical professional
- Baby milk and liquid baby food must be tasted by the accompanying parent or guardian at security searches

First Choice Airways' maximum cabin baggage dimensions are: of 45cm length x 35cm width and 20cm depth including wheels, handles and side pockets
Duty Free
- You are free to take on board liquids of any size purchased after the security check in the departure lounge
- Duty free will be given to you in a special sealed bag. Please do not open this bag until you have reached your final destination. Please also retain receipts throughout your journey
