The First Choice Travel Money Card is a prepaid MasterCard® and is the latest way to take your spending money abroad. There are no commission charges or purchase fees when you buy or reload your card. Cards can be pre-loaded with your spending money and then used at millions of Retailers and ATMs worldwide where you see the MasterCard® Acceptance Mark giving you complete flexibility. Exchange rates are agreed at the time of purchase so you don’t need to worry about fluctuating rates and the uncertainty of credit/debit card charges on your return.

Safe and Secure

Standard Travel Money Card is Chip & Pin protected and should the worst happen and you lose your card, or have it stolen, simply contact the customer service team 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, who will cancel the card and arrange to have the balance replaced. In most cases we can arrange for replacement funds via our partner Western Union to be with you while overseas within 24 hrs of you notifying us that the card has been lost or stolen. Please note there is no additional cost to you for this service. Peace of mind from the fact the card is not linked to a credit card or bank account and with no personalisation visible on the card it keeps your identity secure.

Withdraw local currency from more than a million ATM’s in over 210 countries or pay straight from your card at over 28 million MasterCard® retailers. Online Management of your account enabling you to keep up to date with transactions on your account. Get updates on the outstanding balance of your card to your mobile phone via SMS. Use unspent fund on your next trip, withdraw from a UK ATM machine or cashout the remaining funds within any First Choice or Thomson branch (fees apply)

Key Information

Your Travel Money Card is provided in a sealed pack complete with PIN number and terms and conditions. The card is active from the moment you have completed the transaction therefore ensure that you sign the card at your earliest convenience and that the PIN is kept separately away from the card. You can change your PIN number at most UK ATM machines to something more memorable and this service is provided free of charge.
