Notes to editors:

1. First Choice previously sold summer holidays to Costa Rica in 2007; however this route ceased in October 2008.

2. Flight time from Gatwick to Costa Rica is approximately 11 hours 35 minutes.

3. Tours:

2 night Adventure Taster Tour: Timeworn volcanoes, steaming natural springs and trees as tall as skyscrapers. This trip offers up a whistle-stop tour of Costa Rica’s best bits, so it’s perfect if you want to combine a lazy beach break with a few more active days. With everything from river tubing to horseback riding on the agenda, it’ll be a trip to remember.

4 night Cloud Forest Tour: Costa Rica’s rainforest is the stuff of postcards. Think thick green canopies that let in only the faintest beams of sunlight. Gushing rivers that give way to frothy-white rapids. And waterfalls that plunge into crystal-clear rock pools. Come with us, and this tropical world is yours for the taking.

7 night Grand Tour of Costa Rica: Ticking off volcanoes, rainforests and mountains, this tour showcases the best of Costa Rica’s scenery. And you’ll get to see it in style. Navigate fierce river rapids on a tubing adventure. Sail down calm canals on a small riverboat. And trot through the forest on horseback. If it’s adventure you’re after, this trip is just the ticket.
