Civil ceremonies
A civil ceremony has the advantage that it can be conducted by a non-clergy host at a variety of beautiful locations on the island. A beach view garden, onboard a luxury yacht or at a country retreat – the choice is yours.
Religious Ceremonies
Catholic blessings require a little more planning, but it’s well worth making the extra effort. It’s worth noting that only one of you needs to be a Catholic in order to marry in a Catholic church in Spain.
Should you prefer, you can choose to have ‘The Sacrament of Marriage’ ceremony through an English speaking Anglican church on the island.
Please note: Ceremonies in Ibiza are only classed as blessings and not full weddings. For this reason, you need to make your marriage binding while in the UK. For civil ceremonies, this can be done either side of your Ibizan blessing. Catholic weddings do not need a civil ceremony in the UK.
