MOROCCO EARTHQUAKE
Customers in Morocco
We are aware of and deeply saddened by the devastating earthquakes which took place last night about 70km Southwest of Marrakesh.
To reassure, our teams are currently working on the ground in resort and supporting customers where needed and in contact with local authorities and partners to continue to assess the situation.
Please follow instructions by your hoteliers and local authorities. If you need additional information or assistance, please contact your rep on the ground, our contact centre or speak to one of our customer support team using the 24/7 First Choice app.
We will keep you informed if new information becomes available.
Customers due to fly to Morocco
Any customers travelling to Morocco on Sunday 10th September will be proactively contacted. We can confirm that there has been no change in in the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advice, customers remain in their hotels and flights are operating. We’ll closely monitor the situation and will keep customers informed of any relevant updates.

NATIONAL AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL DISTRUPTION
Customers due to go on holiday 28th August
We understand how important holidays are to our customers, which is why we’re doing everything we can to keep operating as many flights as possible to and from the UK, despite the significant impact to all airlines following the National Air Traffic Control Services (NATS) issue.
It is therefore with deep regret that we have been given no choice but to cancel a small number of outgoing holidays due to the repercussions of the NATS system issues. These flights are listed below. Those customers impacted will be contacted by us directly to discuss their options, which include amending to an alternative holiday or getting a full refund.
Customers due to travel home from their holiday on 28th August
We would like to reassure customers currently on holiday and due to fly home that their flight will operate but may be subject to delay. We will continue to keep them updated directly via the TUI app and email.
Our priority remains communicating directly with our customers and making sure they are looked after during this unexpected disruption.
Customers due to travel on holiday on 29th August
We are expecting some delays to our programme and will be in touch with customers directly should travel plans change. Customers travelling on Tuesday 29th August should travel to the airport as usual, unless contacted directly by TUI and told otherwise.
For customers travelling on a TUI package holiday but with an alternative airline, for example easyJet or British Airways, and have been advised their flight has been cancelled, our customer services team will be in contact directly to discuss options.

We’re continuing to closely monitor the wildfires in Rhodes which led to the evacuation of a number of hotels in the South of the island. For those customers holidaying in the North of Rhodes we want to reassure that hotels and resorts are fully operational and our teams are contactable should customers need anything.
The safety and well-being of our customers and teams remains our top priority and our reps are committed to supporting all our customers at this time as well as ensuring those not impacted have enjoyable holidays.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THOSE TRAVELING TO CORFU
We’d like to reassure customers due to travel to Corfu that our hotels and resorts are currently operating normally following the containment of a wildfire in a small area in the North East.
Our teams will be on hand at your departure airport if you have any questions or concerns. Once you arrive in Corfu, you can contact us through the TUI App or by speaking to your local rep.
Customers due to travel to Corfu up to and including Sunday the 30th of July are able to amend their booking for free. If you booked directly with TUI, you can contact us on 0203 451 2688 or visit your local store. Please be aware that we are experiencing a high volume of queries at the moment. If you booked with a third party travel agent, please contact your agent directly to make your amend.
In addition, Marella Cruise will operate as planned in Corfu on Friday the 28th of July 2023.

We appreciate the distress many customers have experienced evacuating their hotels as a result of the wildfires in Rhodes. Our teams have done all they can to ensure your safe transition home. Here’s some key information to note.
LUGGAGE
Our current priority is the safety of our customers and colleagues in Rhodes, however we realise that customers who had to evacuate hotels, may have returned to the UK having left some personal belongings behind. Our TUI customer team will be in contact in the coming days regarding getting those back to you.
In addition, we acknowledge that some customers luggage did not arrive home with them from Rhodes. We are sorry for this. If that’s the case please complete a PIR (Property Irregularity Report) on arrival back in the UK/Ireland. Your luggage will be traced and returned to you as soon as possible through our usual lost luggage tracing procedures. We will do everything possible to ensure this happens as quickly as possible and thank you for your patience as we work to reunite you with your belongings.

We appreciate how distressing and difficult this experience has been those who have been evacuated. If you have been affected by this incident and feel you’d like some expert support you can talk to somebody at the the Centre of Crisis Psychology. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CUSTOMERS IN RHODES
We appreciate how distressing and difficult it is for anyone who has been evacuated from their hotel as a result of the wildfire in Rhodes.
We have already taken some guests safely home, and have more flight seats available, so please talk to your rep to share your details so they can register you for a flight home, if you wish to return early. Or call us on +44 204578098 and our team will assist.
In the meantime, we are working tirelessly in the background to support you as best we can. We’ve brought in extra TUI team members to Rhodes, they’re there to provide practical support and assistance wherever needed and are in and around your hotels.
If you are due to return home on 25th and 26th July, please note that your departure flights to the UK will operate as planned. Transport to the airport will be arranged by our resort teams, so please check your TUI app/SMS for your coach departure time. Our teams will also be relaying this information, should you not now be at your original hotel.
We strongly advise that you do not go to the airport unless it’s for your scheduled flight home or confirmation from a TUI team member you have a confirmed seat on an earlier flight.
We’re aware that some customers may have left passports behind at hotels. Passport Foreign Affairs have set up a dedicated helpdesk at Terminal 1, Rhodes International Airport. You don’t need an appointment to receive help, but you should attend only upon departure and not before. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CUSTOMERS DUE TO TRAVEL TO RHODES
We’re continuing to closely monitor the wildfires in Rhodes which led to the evacuation of a number of hotels in the South of the island and have made some changes to our holiday programme in the coming days. We appreciate that anyone travelling to Rhodes in the near future may be concerned about their holiday, and we want to keep you updated on our plans and will be in direct contact with customers if anything changes.
We will not be operating all outbound flights to Rhodes up to and including Friday 28th July.
NORTHERN RHODES
For those travelling to the North of Rhodes from Saturday 29 July, we want to reassure that hotels and resorts are fully operational and our team of TUI reps are offering their usual service. There will also be an excursion programme on offer for our customers who would like to explore.
We are however offering fee free amends to another holiday that’s available or the option to cancel for a full refund for those customers due to travel up to and including 30th July for all areas of Rhodes including the North of Rhodes.
We are still operating flights from Rhodes back to UK & Ireland as scheduled.
All flight-only customers due to travel on these impacted flights will receive full refunds, and package holiday customers will have the option to amend or cancel with a full refund. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of the booking being cancelled.
SOUTHERN RHODES
We are constantly reviewing the situation in Rhodes and whilst a number of hotels in the South are open, TUI are offering customers travelling to a hotel in the south of the island the option to amend fee free or cancel with a full refund up to and including 11th August. Customers travelling to hotels in the South of the island between the 12th and 21st August can amend fee free.
That said, please be assured that we’ll contact you directly as soon as possible if your hotel will not be operational. This includes customers who’ve booked a TUI package holiday which includes a non-TUI flight e.g. easyJet. TURKEY EARTHQUAKES
We’re aware of the three recent earthquakes in Turkey the cities of Gaziantep, Kahramanmaras and the tremor that occurred near to the city of Antakya and the Syria border – all three earthquakes happened in the southeast of Turkey approximately 800km away from the resort of Antalya.
Our thoughts remain with those affected by the devastating events in Turkey and TUI is supporting humanitarian initiatives in the country, as are the majority of our hoteliers.
The hotels which were not in operation during the winter season have been opened specifically for this emergency aid whilst closed to customers.
For customers with holidays booked to Turkey, we can confirm these are currently operating as planned.
