We’re excited to reveal the newest addition to the First Choice family – Holiday Village Montenegro. Here’s everything you need to know about the exciting new hotel, where it’s located, and how you can book to be there next summer…

Our impressive Holiday Villages collection already covers top holiday spots across the Canaries, the Balearics, and the Greek islands. And now, we’ve ventured into Balkan territory, with a brand new resort in the Ulcinj region of Montenegro. If you’re familiar with Holiday Villages, you’ll know that the kids’ clubs, splash parks, and Aerial Adventure courses are pretty legendary – and Holiday Village Montenegro will be no exception. It’s officially opening in summer 2018, which means you can book your holiday there for next year right now, making the most of low deposits. Here’s what’s included in the line up…

    The location

Know much about Montenegro? We’re guessing, probably not. While this up-and-coming Balkan gem is slowly making its way onto the tourist radar, it’s still relatively new on the holiday scene. But, luckily for you, this means you won’t have as much competition when you’re bragging about your adventures there. Plus, it’s been tipped as one of the best places to visit in Europe in 2017 by Forbes. Need we say more?

Montenegro’s impressive scenery is second to none. It lines up a coastline crammed with over 100 beaches, a smattering of mirror-like lakes, and a clutch of Medieval towns. Holiday Village Montenegro is based near Ulcinj, which is one of the oldest towns on the coast, packed with an eclectic mix of Roman, Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Here you can stroll along the cobblestone streets and explore a fort, a Venetian palace, and pretty, whitewashed houses. And, just outside of Ulcinj, you’ve also got a 1,500-hectare private reserve where you can spot over 250 species of bird, including flamingos and pelicans.

    The hotel

The brand-new Holiday Village Montenegro will open in summer 2018, showcasing fresh-from-the-wrapping facilities, including swish interiors and swim-up rooms, to name a few. You’ll have access to all of the famous Holiday Village activities and entertainment, too. You can expect an epic Aerial Adventure course, activities like Waterwalkerz and Water rollers, and a Football Academy and Swim Academy for kids to join. There are three restaurants to choose from, two of which are à la carte, and three pools – a main outdoor number, an activity pool and a kids’ splash pool. Best of all, a huge stretch of sand is right on its doorstep, so you can conveniently nip to the beach for a sandcastle-building session.

When it comes to evening entertainment, both kids and parents are covered. There are kids’ discos, Saturday morning game shows, and performances by our professional entertainers every evening. If you’ve got teenagers in tow, there’s also the Escape teens club which puts on activities like DJ lessons – and of course there’s free Wi-Fi.

Could you please specify opening date for this resort I’m looking at booking 1st week in June. Is there anything within immediate walking distance of the hotel?

Hi I m trying to book for July 2018 but there are no swim up rooms available do you know why? Also, I have been able to book stage academy but its not listed on the brochure however I’ve bought some can you please clarify?

Hi Karen. Room types are subject to availability, so if they are not available for your dates they may have sold out. We may update services throughout the year, as our brochures are only printed once per season the services may change. If you have been able to book a stage academy, this will be available during your stay. ^Dave

It says 2 bed rooms have bunk beds, is it possible to have a pull out bed in the second room as well as the youngest child will be too young for bunks? There seems to only be a bunk option for 2 bed rooms… Thanks

I’ve had a look at this hotel online and wondered if you could confirm if there’s a bath in the bathroom as it only refers to a shower. Addionally, I was wondering do you have a copy of the map of the resort, that you find in your brochure, so I can see the pools, splash park, resort etc. Many thanks Sarah
