The pools are the real talking point here – there are four palm-fringed numbers to pick from, one of which comes with a swim-up bar. Kids have a pair of pools to themselves, too. Out of the water, there are activities like tennis, volleyball and fitness classes to get stuck in to, and a restaurant line-up that includes a pair of themed places.

The hotel has a multi-sports pitch so football, tennis and volleyball are all on the cards, as are things like boules and rifle shooting. There are art* classes for the creative.

The buffet restaurant is by the pool and has a large terrace for al fresco dining. Everything from seafood to roast dinners and paella is on the menu.
For a change from the buffet, there’s a choice of speciality restaurants – all of which receive glowing praise on TripAdvisor. You’ve got a Mexican and Canarian, which share the same venue, as well as a lantern-lit Asian place.

The spa and wellness centre covers off pampering treatments like facials, manicures and body wraps, and there’s a hairdressing salon, too. For keeping fit, there’s a gym and regular exercise classes.
The gym offers an all-round system, from cardio to mild resistance machines.

Of the four pools, the huge lagoon number at the main building comes out the biggest. It’s the one where you’ll find activities going on. The palm-fringed terrace has plenty of sunloungers, and there’s a snack bar on hand.
Over on the annexe side, there’s a quieter pool shaped in a figure-of-8. There’s a section for kids scooped out on one side and a swim-up bar. The conservatory-style snack bar does things like hotdogs and burgers.

Jump in or take a dip in any of the four pools. Two are heated from November to April. Sunbeds and parasols are dotted around the sun terraces for you to relax on.
