Second time as good as the first hard to go anywhere else!
This was our second time to Dreams Palm Beach, and couldn't have been more happier. The great thing about this place is consistency! From the management down to everyone else, the faces and names remain virtually the same, and they do in fact remember you believe it or not, and that is a giant plus for us! Starting with Pedro Tomas (GM) We can't thank you enough for another awesome time! Hilario (RDM) Loved the rooms thank you! Milan (RM) Thank you for all your efforts as well! Preferred Club: Ingrid Rodriguez (Manager) Kenia and all the other concierges great job Thank you! Mayobanex (Mayo) You are the man thanks for everything! Germain, Joel, Francis by the pool thanks for the superior service! Our Butlers: Alexander, Wilson, Ruben you guys are fantastic, and provided us with exceptional service and attention so Thank you very much! DIning: Himitsu: Romero, Catalino, Emilio, Felix Domo Arigato! Seaside Grill: Christina, Ray, Manuel, Cesar, Tito, Felix, Many Thanks for great service! Bordeaux: Perfecto Many Thanks for a great night! Portofino: Yhonator Thank you for great service! Edwin Saladin, Thank you for the great night in the wine room! Spa: Another great effort to all for our 14 massages for the four of us! Thank you! I may have left some names out here, and I do apologize, but your efforts don't go under appreciated! So many thanks to all of you! Once again, Dreams Palm Beach doesn't disappoint. We just have a hard time finding anything negative to say, and I know this sounds crazy, but it's the truth! We can't wait to return next year for our third consecutive year! We will see you all then! CMueller and family!More

Good and bad
Went for holiday in December 2014. We don't normally do all inclusive holidays, but on the dates we were looking to go this was the most reasonable option. Overall we enjoyed our stay, mainly due to the quality and variety of food which pleasantly surpised us. The absolute favourite was the steak restaurant at the premier club, which is open for dinner for all residents. We loved the meat, the sides, the quality was really outstanding. The second favourite was the Mexican, though most reviews here don't rate it very well, which is surprising. We went there 3 times and enjoyed the fajitas, the nachos with homemade dips which were delicious and the margaritas which were made with a different twist each time we visited. The french and italian restaurants didn't impress us at all. We also enjoyed the fresh grilled frish and other seafood at the buffet for lunch and dinner and of course the wide variety of fruit like papaya (the best I ever tried), guava, mango etc.etc. We don't drink a lot of alcohol so can't really comment on the quality of drinks. The biggest problem we experienced was the bed, the mattress is really worn out and uncomfortable and I had the worst pain in my back already the first night. The management did their best to change the mattress next day but the new one was still not great, so had to be changed again next morning but they gave us 30mins complimentary massage which we enjoyed very much-well handled by the management. The rooms are otherwise quiet old, but if you are not planning to spend a lot of time there it's not a problem. The beach is beautiful, however we had a lot of seaweed on a few days, then it would clear completely on the other days. We found a beautiful clear water beach about 10 mins walk to the left of the hotel and went there on the days when the water was full of seaweed at the hotel. The staff is working hard at clearing the seaweed though( unlike the hotels on the left and right). We had rain on 2 or 3 days out of 9 that we were there, and it's not much to do there then, so we spent time at the coffee shop and the gym instead. I am very picky with the hotels but this was a pleasant surprise-we were prepared for worse.. More

Spring Break 2015
Overall Review - Positives - Family vacation. Great time. Great people. Staff was excellent around the pool and especially the Entertainment crew. I have to mention "The Machine" and Rayber. They were great to us and great to everyone we saw. Made the vacation for us. Thank you "Machine" we will miss you. Overall i would recommend this vacation to anyone with kids. Great place to go and stay for kids, Great activities for them, great pools. Negatives - We paid extra for a preferred room and found out 4 days later that we actually didnt get a preferred room. They put us on the other side of the resort but still let us have the preferred options (Sea Side Grill restaurant, pool, etc). I personally was not happy with this and asked the preferred concierge with no result besides we have no more rooms. Even though you dont spend alot of time in the rooms I was not happy with the room. Very tiny. Bathroom very very small and old. Needed to be updated. I am told the preferred rooms are better but again i paid and didnt get one. Seawood. Yes there is alot of it. I dont understand why they dont have a machine to drive along the beach in 5-10 minutes and just rake it up. Instead they have 2-3 people manually picking it up with a hay fork that takes 3-4 hours. Seems ridiculous. The service at the 4 sit down restaurants. Terrible in my opinion. You had to wait 10-15 minutes every time you wanted something else or wanted more water. I felt i literally had to beg to get my water refilled at every restaurant.More
Fantastic Hotel with amazing service
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the Preferred club with our kids and had an amazing time. I agree with the fact that this hotel does not sit on the most pristine beach in Punta Cana and has lots of seaweed, and the rooms are not too fancy, but once you get over these two details the rest of the experience is really good. He people are so friendly and always willing to help with a smile on their faces. Unlike other hotels in Punta Cana, they are not tip crazy which is really nice. The food is great and have lots of variety: Italian, French, Mexican, Caribbean, Seafood and a really good buffet and a coffee shop. The Explorer's club is one of the best features of this resort and our kids had an amazing experience. A really big shout out to LEANI who is just a jewel and is simply amazing, caring, friendly and genuine person who the kids loved so much. The rest of the ladies in the Explorer club were also great and took amazing care and ensured the kids were happy and extremely well cared for. I would recommend this hotel to people who are looking for a care free type of vacation and want a resort that is easy to navigate and not need a shuttle to get around. Hotel is medium size and has approximately 500 rooms and never feels like it is too full. We will definitely be back in the future to this hotel and other Dreams properties. More

A disappointment, won't be returning
We just returned from an 8 day stay at dreams Palm beach. We traveled there with 3 other families (8 adults 11children) for spring break. Overall we had a good time, but the dreams fell short of our expectations. The kids club was unorganized and a significant walk from the rooms or pool/beach. Def not convenient. On Easter they held an egg hunt which was a disaster and a total let down for the kids. The kids did not like spending time in the kids club which can be a huge negative for parents wanting child free time. The food was a let down as well. Several of the restaurants share a kitchen and serve pretty much the same thing just switched up a little bit. The pizza is no bueno and room service menu has little to offer. The buffet is ok, but could def be improved. The drinks are a whole other issue. They serve bottom shelf booze or watered down nicer labels and you have to grease(tip) the bartenders to get stronger drinks and they will stash the better booze labels for you if you take care of them. But the drinks were a huge let down if you enjoy drinking on vacation. The entertainment was sub par, definetly not "excellente" as they like to say. Make sure to catch the magic show, foam pool party, beach party, and "circus" act. However "the machine" was a great addition to their entertainment team. We loved his water aerobics and other activities he led. He always made sure we knew what was going on that day so we wouldn't miss out on anything. The casino was terrible. Never anyone there, small spot and not an exciting place to gamble. The night club had potential but in a terrible location so I'm not sure if most people even knew it existed. Music doesn't start until 11pm. All nights except 1 we were the only people in the club. You have to tip the dj if you want to hear anything besides Mexican music. The rooms are nothing to write home about. They are pretty small without a lot of closet space. The rooms with 2 double beds are super small if you are a family of 4 looking to get only 1 room. Luckily we had 2 rooms, so it wasn't an issue for us. PpMore
