had a blast!
the hotel staff are wonderful, everyone was friendly. the head of entertainment created a personal bond with all of the guests. he was fun, and outgoing. there are activities for everyone (including kids) from 8am to 10pm. the food is prettt good. they have multiple restaurants to try and a buffet. we stayed 5 days and we were always on the go. when we did want to relax we sat on the beach with the never ending drinks. i will definitely be back. this is a great place for a family, couple or girls getaway.More

An average dream
This is a good hotel with friendly staff where you could have a relaxing vacation. If it comes with a great deal then I would recommend it. If not then you could find a better. Pros: - Friendly staff - Good beach with lots of loungers - No wristbands - Free good wifi - Smaller resort with everything 5 minutes to the beach - 2 large pools Cons: - Everything is Average ( food, accommodation, entertainment, service, etc.) with nothing standing out as excellent or unique - Bad clay tennis court - No real theatre just a large conference room with chairs and a stage making it hard to see - Showers don't have a door, just a half glass cover that allows you to spray everywhere - Tiny gym that doesn't have many options - There are nicer rooms which they try to sell you on but they cost $110 per night extra Thus, regardless of whether you are a glass half full or a glass half empty type of person when it comes to this resort you will be correct. I have gone here twice because of great deals and can't say I dislike it but can't say I look forward to coming back either. This Dreams leaves a lot to be desired.More
Great Kids' Club, Great Service
I stayed two nights at the resort with my family (wife and three kids of 6, 4, and 1 year). Overall, we had an enjoyable stay at the all-inclusive. But there are a few things that could stand to be improved. But here is my analysis of the place: PROS 1. The Kids' Club. And more specifically, Abby, the lady in charge. She speaks both Spanish and English and immediately engages the kids. With Abby, it's clear from the moment you meet her that she's got remarkable energy and love for her job. She helps shy kids feel comfortable and our kids were asking to be dropped off after what we had expected to be a total failure. Abby is a gem and helped make our vacation feel like one as we got a little down time from the madness. The Kids' Club itself (apart from Abby) is also really impressive. They have a schedule of activities throughout the day and the club facilities were impressive. This is a major plus in the pro column. Thanks, Abby! 2. The service was really excellent. We've been to a few places on the island and the level of service can really vary. This hotel was consistent, from the reception to the wait staff. It helped make the trip ever more enjoyable. 3. The food was surprisingly good for a large buffet. There was good variety and the overall quality was notable. The fruit was fresh, the meats were tasty and well-prepared, and there were good options for both kids and adults. 4. There are numerous pools, some with large swim areas for kids. This helped give some variety. It never felt overwhelmingly crowded because of this either. CONS 1. The pillow cases smelled musty (not necessarily unclean), making going to bed an unpleasant experience. One could argue that it's just a humidity issue in the Caribbean but I've never experienced this before. It's a problem. 2. The all-inclusive is all-you-can-drink and unless you are drinking beer, it's more like all you won't drink. The piña coladas are a pre-made slushy that tastes nothing like the real thing. The strawberry daiquiris are made from some insanely sweet syrup. Neither appears to have ever seen a fresh piece of fruit. The mixed drinks are hardly drinkable, with a vodka cranberry tasting more like a...a drink I didn't want. The house wine is horrendous. I drank less than one drink per day at an all-you-can-drink. Enough said. 3. The beach was disappointing. The sand was soft and relatively nice but the ocean was anything but Caribbean blue. Perhaps it was the recent storms but the water was both murky and dirty (filled with seaweed and other plants). It's not an issue unique to this resort as the beach was very similar in both walking directions. However, during my stay, the beach was not a highlight. They did have a fun water trampoline that was a hit with the kids though. That was a nice touch. OVERALL We found a discount to stay here and with that, we were happy with our stay. The kids had fun and the parents got to relax a bit (thanks to Abby). I'd recommend this place on discount. At full price, I would have been very disappointed. From the drinks to the pillow to the beach, it just didn't offer enough to warrant full payment. But to each his own. At the end of the trip, we still look back and smile so thanks for the memories.More
Top notch Relaxacation
We enjoyed an incredible two week vacation to relax and soak in the warm Atlantic Ocean. This was our first time in the Dominican Republic and Dreams Palm Beach. We both were very impressed by the warm welcome and friendly staff of the resort. The resort was able to grant our request, ground floor and close to the beach without any problem. The property was well kept, rooms spacious and clean, all staff friendly and very helpful. Our thanks to Juan C. who took good care of us while on the beach! We would definitely recommend Dreams Palm Beach as a destination in Punta Cana.More
