I want to thank all the staff of Dreams Palm Beach for the great service and hospitality but specifically want to thank Hilario Peralta and Silverio Oguislen. They did everything to make our vacation unique and enjoyable. Will be back soon! More

SO GLAD WE CHOSE THIS RESORT
Stayed 09/27-10/4. We are both age 57. This was our first trip to DR, our fourth all-inclusive. The past three all-inclusive resorts have been adult only, but this year Dreams Palm Beach sounded so nice we booked even though it is family oriented. This turned out to be really enjoyable. As we are hoping to be Grandparents soon the happy sounds of child laughter added to our joy. I believe knowing there are children about helps to keep people in check. Our suite was in the Preferred Section, building 3, third floor with ocean view. The room was lovely, roomy, fresh, and extremely clean. Air conditioner worked great, shower and Jacuzzi were wonderful with plenty of hot water, mattress was so comfortable that I wish we could have shipped it home. We are beach people and happily planted ourselves there every day, had no trouble finding lounge chairs at all. Thank you JOEL for keeping us supplied with water, ice and Coco Loco's. The beach was soft white sand, the ocean so wonderfully calm. We have been places where the waves pretty much just knock a person around. That is not the case here. We were very relieved to be able to enjoy the lovely calm sea. There was some stirring up of seaweed when a weather disturbance farther out to sea was passing by, but that did not stop us as all. The hotel staff was vigilant in trying to keep the seaweed cleaned up. We ate at every restaurant on the resort and found the food to be tasty at each one. Ordered room service for dinner twice, it arrived quickly and accurately. In trying to think of helpful tips for future travelers I want to note that it is very hot and humid in the DR. I was most comfortable in simple pullover style dresses with sandals. My husband liked his linen slacks and button down cotton shirts. The sun is very strong so make sure you use plenty of sunscreen. We burn very easily, and have found that Sun Bum products work well. We ordered ours from Amazon before we left because it is not available everywhere and it of course is much cheaper purchasing that way. One thing that is very important to us and to most people is cleanliness. Let me assure you that Dreams Palm Beach is the cleanest resort we have ever been to, everything was spotless. You will notice the staff cleaning non-stop in every area. We booked our trip through Apple Vacations. The whole trip from start to finish went off without a hitch. We have always booked through Apple because they know their business and we feel secure that they have everything in perfect order for us. So thank you Apple Vacations for another smooth journey. I had read that some people were not happy with the Punta Cana Airport. We did not experience any problem what so ever. Both entry and departure was very organized and timely. Employees were friendly and helpful. We have decided that this resort is our new favorite, and hope to return very soon. More
Great holiday, great hotel, even better staff!
Stayed in September for two weeks. 15 minutes from the airport. We upgraded to preffered club on check in. This is something I wanted to do based on reviews from this site. Thank you to Lucia Grullon who checked us in and managed the upgrade. She was very pleasant and helpful during the process and arranged for the little touches to be moved to the new room that had been arranged for our anniversary. PREFFERED- we found the upgrade worth the extra money. Based on other people we spoke to the rooms were modern and well presented. The shower was massive, double head rainfall shower!! Access to two further pools. Adults only and another pool which allowed children but had an adults only jacuzzi. Not many children around though as it was September. Seaside grill for breakfast and lunch as well as two lounges which had snacks and bars where you could get Budweiser, Miller and other drinks which are only available on preffered. Also remember to ask for the upgraded mini bar ASAP. They don't advertise it but the lad comes around with his basket between 1830-1930. Peanut M & Ms, snickers, Pringles, Bacardi, Jonnie Walker red label and Absolut vodka are the choices. No wrist bands or towel cards which is a nice touch. Felix (the towel police) spoke to us on our first day and remembered our faces and was a good laugh. His job is to make sure preffered guests are the only ones using the facilities. Pool side service from Germain (sorry if wrong spelling) was also first class. Thank you. The other two pools were very large. The beach was nice and there is the issue with seaweed but the sea was clear on some days. This doesn't make or break the holiday though. The restaurants are all nice including the buffet which has a great selection. It is warm with roof fans not giving much relief. However from reading other reviewers who ask for air con in this restaurant these simply won't work as it is an open plan building and it is built to allow any sort of breeze to flow through it. Mexican, French and seaside grill for steaks were our favourite. There was a minor incident one night in the Mexican, a family from USA who had a bit too much to drink became physical with each other, punching and throwing water and felt the need to share this with everyone else and then the whole lobby area afterwards. After complaining to the restaurant manager they were eventually asked to leave restaurant. The general manager of the hotel was very apologetic, it was not the fault of staff at all. They can't control the actions of other guests simply respond to deal with it. Special mention goes to Leandro, I don't know his exact role however he spoke to us after this incident and went out of his way to converse with us and ensure we were OK every time he saw us after this. Thank you for your time. Staff at the lobby bar also deserve a mention. They are constantly busy and do their job very well with great enthusiasm and are well presented giving the heat they have to work in. Special mentions to Carlos, Clemente, Juan (looks like Vincent Kompany) and mainly Luis Alberta who was great and kept the tanquery and tonics flowing!! Thank you!! Lengthy review I know but in short it is a great hotel and the staff and their attentiveness make the place what it is. After speaking to other guests from other hotels this is not the norm in the DR and made us feel justified in our choice of resort. If you are after a laid back holiday with good food, drinks and service you can't go wrong. Can't wait to return!! Thanks to all at Dreams for the experience.More
Perfect day pass
I work in the Dominican Republic and I used day pass to relax with my girlfriend during days off. I have to say that it was marvelous, excellent hotel with beautiful beach. A large selection of restaurants and cuisine of different countries. The staff is very professional (which is very important to me) and friendly, which confirms the Dominican hospitality. We will certainly go there again!More

I would never stay at this resort again. Solicitation every time you turn around. As soon as we arrived we were wisked away by one of the resorts solicitors when we just wanted to get to the room, unpack and relax. To top it off, we had to leave the resort early due to an accident that happened on the property. We were told to submit medical records in order to try to receive three nights refund since we were unable to stay. Of course the management denied it. Surprise surprise. This is a resort that is more interested in stealing from there guests in my opinion. Save yourself the headache. Go to the RIU Palace. Much better!!!More
