It’s the setting people like about this hotel – great views and a peaceful atmosphere come as standard.
The views always impress here. The hotel is in a wide bay, next to pebbly Albatros Beach. So from most rooms you can see cobalt water, a scattering of islands, and Dubrovnik in the distance.
Cavtat’s postcard-worthy old town is about a 15-minute walk. And on the days you’re staying put, there are indoor and outdoor pools, plenty of sports and a couple of great places to eat.

Returned 21st September. Lovely hotel great location, we had a lovely big bedroom with a sea view it was nice and clean and comfortable. We had the same problem with food and restaurant as some of the other guests, we found the restaurant very crowded and noisy so we sat outside when the weather was good and that was much better. Cavat is a beautiful area with lovely walks,we went in to Dubrovnik a couple of times which was very interesting. I had lovely surprise on my birthday I had a bottle of bubbly sent up to our room from the hotel management and staff wishing me a happy birthday, that really made my day it was very kind thought and very much appreciated. The weather was a bit hit and miss but you can't do anything about that we still had a lovely holiday.More
Returned 20 September 2017. Very good hotel with a good location for the town, the food was varied and you could always find something to suit, the room was very comfortable and kept clean throughout our two week stay, the entertainment team worked very hard and put on some excellent shows in the evening, all the staff were very happy and friendly,. The only complaint we had was the hotel reserving half the tables in the restaurant for coach tours who stayed for one or two days leaving the rest of us to scrabble for a table, this sometimes caused some tension as some of the reserved tables would stay empty, something the management should look into.More

Not 4 Star
Fantastic location. A big hotel, plenty of public spaces, sunbeds etc. but needs a facelift. I believe the hotel will be re-furbished winter 2017.Friendly staff. Food ok. At times, nothing special and sometimes not very good. Only 1 toaster - revolving tray type, and only half the elements worked. We arrived 8pm, in time for the evening meal. At 9.20pm found the aircon in our room not working. Technician arrived and said he needed to check "something down". Never came back. Reception confirmed he had gone home at 10pm! Moved to another room the next day. We were HB and the big gripe from us and others was paying for tap water at dinner. Result was we went out every evening and spent our money at the Samba bar half a mile away. Drinks a lot cheaper as well. Would recommend Croatia for a holiday, Heard good reports about the Hotel Cavtat.More
Comfortable and friendly but..
I first visited this hotel n 2002 and the decor has hardly changed in that time so a refurb is needed. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful, particularly Mateo in the bar, and work hard. The 'but' is the restaurant and the food. Hopefully they will be able to make the restaurant more user friendly as many seats are in such a position as to block people in making it difficult to get the food and can cause upset. The second 'but' also relays to the restaurant as food is often cold. It tastes fine but on one occasion there were no lids on the soup tureen so so the soup was cold, a shame as the taste was lovely. Minor problems which surely management can solve and make this an even better hotel. It is on the beach front, a short walk to the centre of Cavtat and has a lovely indoor pool too. We would go back as we love Cavtat but would lie to see the improvements in the catering department.More
Large but friendly hotel
Far from the best hotel experience but staff friendly and rooms cleaned daily. The sea was visible only from the balcony even though we had paid for a 'full sea view'. Much of what has already been said in previous reviews is true regarding the dining facilities, but in sharing tables we met more people. The food was not hot but there was plenty of choice. We always managed to find cups and cutlery but why sweeteners were near the tea and not coffee was strange. Only one toaster for a hotel with over 300 bedrooms was poor but the choice of breads was good. We were half board and not charged for water. The entertainment staff worked hard to please holidaymakers but there was no pressure to join in. The evening entertainment was too loud when outside. Cavtat is lovely but as the boat trips were cancelled for several days during our visit due to storms we used the 10 bus which meant long queues to return. Good hotel for families and those who enjoy sunbathing and entertainment.More
