Had a fab time, hotel, location, drinks and food were all great. The staff were very friendly and great with our 10 month old. It was a shame the pool was too cold to swim in but we were told that it will be heated in future, also no wifi (not a problem for us). Would defo recommend and go back :)More
Perfect place! perfect holiday!
Me and my boyfriend came her as out first holiday aboard without our parents, we were initially apprehensive as some of the reviews were not great, we arrived with no experience of checking in at a hotel but the staff made it easy, we were greated with a drink and told if wed like to go to the bar and relax after travelling they would do the check in and when we returned we were given all the information we needed, including their 3 al carte nights Mexican, Spanish and Italian, we made lots of friends and the staff work amazingly hard for what their paid, the highlight of this hotel is the Brandy well pub open to the public swell as the all inclusive we never left the hotel once, with entertainment on every night and free drinks we didn't need to! highly recommend to everyone, although slightly quite if you have children.More
Great holiday would definitely return
We actually visited this hotel last Christmas for 18days... after having are trip to Egypt cancelled... at the time we were very disappointed but this hotel didn't disappoint... room was nice and spacious and cleaned regularly... staff work very hard.. food was great I had a few plates with each meal... nye meal was brilliant... with lobster and all sorts to select... kids club was good... my daughter made loads of friends... entertainment at night was also good... great for children... the champagne cocktails were fab... we had a lovely time and even got engaged in this hotel on Christmas Day... lovely weather... found a sun trap after the big pool where the sun shone all day... lots of cheap bars and restaurants in the town.. cost us 3 euros in a taxi... would highly recommend this hotel More
on arrival at the hotel we was taken to the dining room for our lunch i agree the tables are close together but i found the choice of food was very good. checking in was fine reception explained everything and got our map and was told which direction so we found the room straight away. Room excellent block 1 second floor view of beach and the sea although you didn't get the sun on this side so with the wind was quite cold. all the staff worked extremely hard and we had a fantastic week .More
One of the worst 4 Star AI Hotels I've ever stayed in. The only good thing about it was its location and friendly staff. Check In - This was extremely rushed. We were given minimal details about the hotel and then given a faded black & white map of the hotel grounds to find our way to our room. The whole process took less than 3 minutes, including trying to throw cheap fizz and a bottle of water at us. Room - The room was in Block 2 overlooking the sea - the view was the only good thing about it. The room we were given must have been one of the smallest rooms I've ever stayed in. The beds were hard and extremely uncomfortable - we woke every morning with bad backs. The balcony although a good size was overlooked by our neighbours and we could never get any privacy. The room had a fridge and TV but NO tea/coffee making facilities. The air conditioning was turned off - apparently its turned off at this time of year (January). The bathroom was badly designed - the hair dryer positioned too far from the mirror and the floor flooded with water after every shower. We spent more time mopping the floor after the shower than time in the shower itself. Shower gel is provided but once its gone it doesn't get replaced. Cleanliness - Extremely poor. The room was supposedly cleaned every day but it certainly wasn't. Yes the bed was made and the threadbare towels were replaced but that was it. The floors and surfaces were left untouched. The communal areas around Block 2 were left un-brushed and the air smelled of sewers. Noise Levels - We hardly got a wink of sleep. Our neighbours were like a herd of elephants, coming in at all hours and banging about all through the night. The other noise came from the cleaners - from 08:00 all you could hear is them banging about and shouting to each other. Restaurants - Avoid avoid avoid. The main restaurant was extremely cramp. The tables were too close together and the pillars supporting the ceiling were positioned in front of the food stations. There was a good selection of food for breakfast but if you wanted anything hot and cooked well I'm afraid you'll be disappointed. The fried eggs could be thrown at one wall and they'd bounce off all four. The sausages were either not cooked or burnt to an inch of their life. We had breakfast at the hotel once. The hotel has a number of evening meal theme nights (including Spanish and Italian). The food was slightly better than the main restaurant but not much and each course rushed. Drinks - I read some good reviews about the hotels on-site pub 'the Brandy Well'. If you like sports bars with slow service you'll love it. They have football on the large wall TV's and its extremely noisy. There was always a queue for drinks and AI closes at 12pm. Local Area - The area had everything you could want. Lots of bars and restaurants with lots of variety to suit anybody. We had a full English at the 'Lighthouse' pub and restaurant for 3 euros and it was superb. Excellent cocktails at the 'Hook' pub. There is a local craft market on in the main square on Wednesday and Friday and live local bands on every night. The only down side to the area is what the locals call 'lucky lucky men' constantly walking around trying to sell you cheap sun glasses and watches. They are extremely polite and I don't mind the odd one between you get rid of one there's another - non stop all night. Things to do - There is a huge Sunday market on in Teguise that I'd definitely recommend. You can either get the local bus (if you're willing to wait and fight your way on) or book it through your tour rep. We paid 15 euros each for a seat on a coach. Hotel Staff - Very polite and friendly. Would I go back to Costa Teguise YES, would I stay at Be Live Experience Lanzarote Beach again NO.More
