4 outdoor pools

It's all about the pools here, and it's no wonder. Not only can you grab yourself a prime spot for a sea view, but each pool has a pergola area with sunbeds, great for cooling off on those lazy days.

This is definitely the place to be. With parties, games, pool games, shows, picnics and a great playground, there's plenty to keep the little ones well entertained. For ages 3 to 6 years, available 6 days a week.

Lots to do, good value - but hotel is tired

Best bits - free tennis lessons from a good coach, archery, mountain biking, pilates, gym, entertainment in the evening, good food (including evenings in two of the speciality restaurants), decent drink, playground for toddler - all included so great value for money. Not so great bits - hotel is tired and needs some money spending on it. Room (block 11) needed updating as do some communal areas - quite a few broken tiles etc which have been badly repaired. Had problems with no hot water on two nights and then it was an unattractive brown colour! We were planning on our daughter sleeping on the sofa bed (had paid extra for a family room for this) when we got it out it was broken to the extent it was dangerous so ended up using a cot. Also, found some of the staff unnecessarily rude - captain at Wunderbar was quite nasty to us when we were trying to be polite and said someone was ahead of us in the queue. In contrast, other bar staff - were lovely to my toddler daughter, supplying her with cartons of milk, so perhaps we just caught the 'Captain' at a bad moment... Appreciate it was February, but the pools were too cold to swim in which was a shame - including the one that was supposed to be heated. We had stayed in a Magic Life hotel before so had high expectations. This one wasn't so good as the one we had stayed in previously (Tunisia). Our group consisted of 2 couples, a toddler and a single. In summary - great hotel for activities and sport on a fixed budget - but if you are looking for four star hotel luxury try a different hotel.More

Fantastic

My wife and i stayed at this hotel from 31/1/15 for two weeks. ok the weather wasn't great for the first week but the hotel cannot be held responsible for this.We just went on a couple of trips and spent a few days walking around Jandia exploring. The weather for our second week was excellent so spent most of it around the pool areas. The whole hotel is all inclusive so no need for wristbands everything is free for everyone just help yourself. The food is plentiful and lots of choice always well cooked and tasty. There is always somewhere to eat at any time of the day. The restaurant staff are very helpful and at busy times work very hard to make sure that there are tables available. We were very impressed with the disabled facilities, as my wife has some mobility issues. Nearly every room block has a lift lots of wheelchair ramps, there is a chair to lower disabled people into the pool and a stair-lift down to the wellness center for the sauna and massage. The only down side for the less mobile is the access to the beach, the steps for the lower two thirds are terrible. This could be sorted so easily by having more steps over a greater distance and maybe a couple of bench seats to allow a rest stop so please do something about this. The evening entertainment was really good the hotel has it's own entertainment team who put on shows in the theater for i think 4 evenings a week a couple of evenings they have outside acts which are very good. There are all-sorts of things to do for all ages during the day from aerobics to zumba too many things to list, or just relax around one of the five pools a couple of which are heated. The First Choice reps are very helpful and have a good knowledge of the area, so its best to go to the welcome meeting where they will let you know about the trips available. They also meet you at the airport and give you detailed instructions about your transfers when its time to go home. We were in block 14 which has the best sea views overlooking the beach, watch the sunrise in the morning coming through the patio doors its spectacular. We will hopefully be returning to this hotel at the same time next year. Well Done Club Magic Life.More

Sporty Winter Break from the Snow in UK

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel from 31.01 until 14.02. We were quite impressed with the place. Our Room was in Block 14 and had a lovely Sea View and our balcony was sunny for 60/70% of the day, our only 'gripe' was that it was on the ground floor but we should have asked to move as we were confident they would have if we'd asked as we found all the hotel staff extremely helpful and ameniable. We looked at it positively in that we kept fit walking up & down the 3 flights of stairs each time to our room. There was a lift but we were determined not to use it ( only when we had to get our suitcases to and from the room on arrival and then departure). There is absolutely plenty of sporty & keep fit classes and activities available supplied by the Hotel included in the cost although we only used the Gym equipment because we travelled out doing our own thing. The Gym was well equiped although some of the equipment could have done with being updated but the majority of it was in good 'nick'. We walked into Morro Jable most days either via the beach or along the special pedestrianised walkways or along to Jandia Beaches via the beach access so we kept fit. The beaches were absolutely beautiful although there were a lot of nudists and they were 'dotted' along the beaches so be aware as there is not any special section of the beach reserved for nudists like at the Hotel. We were not upset by this, 'each to thier own, but just taken aback a bit that it didn't matter where along the beach. Nudists were in the least expected places. Anyway back to the Hotel, the main restaurant was self-service and we found the variety available and the quality excellent. No-one should have walked away hungry there was plenty of fresh fruit and salad, fresh fish, meats, cheeses, traditional dishes, chinese food station, omlettes made to order at breakfast....need I go on. The choices were endless. We were not impressed with the 3 restaurants that you had to book in because the service and food was not much different to the Main Restaurant, which is nothing to do with the quality or choices but just that they didn't differ at all from the 'norm' within the Hotel. We went to the Midnight Snack at Wunderbar one evening and the waiter went beserk when we nearly took a sandwich from the 'wrong tray'. I think at 1 o'clock in the morning they could have toasted the Sandwich coz there was not many people around and had the time. Some area's in the Hotel, although clean they could have been cleaner I.E. the bulb on our landing was out for the whole 2 weeks we were there and some 'old' newspapers were left on the landing for 1 week but generally it was good and the gardens were well maintained. We would stay again and are thinking of 'checking out' other Club Magic's around the Globe maybe!More

Great time had by all

We have just got back from a ten night stay with friends. It was great. The food was fab, there was so much choice even catering for those with food allergies. The rooms were lovely and so were most of the staff though some of the reception staff could be friendlier, they came across quite snotty. We will be booking again next year. The entertainment team worked extremely hard and there were plenty of daily activities to suit all. Negatives - if the weather is bad, there is not enough lounging spaces to relax in. The evening entertainment could also be improved. Overall though, the positives far outweighed the negative and would recommend it to all. Even those with walking difficulties are catered for, some of the accommodation blocks had lifts and the pathways were disabled friendly.More

The perfect birthday trip!

My partner and I stayed here from Feb 7th - 14th as a 30th birthday present for me (which was on the 9th!) through First Choice. It was the perfect birthday! We got extremely lucky with the weather apparently; we were told it had been a bit grey previous days but from my birthday onwards it was absolutely glorious! The hotel is an hour and twenty minutes away from the airport. As our flight was delayed our trip to the hotel was in the dark at around 9pm; however once we arrived we were greeted with a glass of bubbly each, friendly and efficient check in staff and were directed to our rooms; the porter followed shortly with our luggage. There was a late buffet on which we happily devoured and even this smaller selection of buffet food was delicious. Our room was far bigger than we expected, extremely clean and felt ver secure. We were in block 11 which looked out across the valley at another hotel, but we could see the beautiful beach if we stood in the right place! Really enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a drink and an ice cream as the sun went down. The grounds were beautifully maintained; there was always member of staff cleaning or gardening to keep things looking tidy, and the beach was down some quite steep steps but worth the scramble as it was spotless. The food was extremely impressive. I have only stayed in one other all inclusive hotel but this place blew that one out of the water. The main buffet has a huge selection of food. For example, at breakfast time you could have three sorts of scrambled egg, an omelette cooked to your instructions, bacon, sausages, potatoes, beans, tomatoes, fried eggs, french toast, pancakes, waffles, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, salad, bread, cheese, cold meats, salad...basically any breakfast food you could imagine...they have it! Lunches and dinners were equally impressive. If all you want to do is eat chips you could, but there was all a selection of good quality meat (for example chicken breast and sirloin steak!) as well as beautiful salads, vegetables, the ubiquitous Mojo sauce and so on. The puddings were incredible, especially on the Gala dinner night on Fridays. There are three themed restaurants which you have to book the day before from 8am in the morning at reception; different restaurants open on different days. We sampled once each - Argentinian steak house a la carte, Canarian a la carte and an Italian buffet with the most delicious lasagne and pizzas! We ate at the Italian on my birthday and when the hotel heard (through the first choice reps Kelly and Leslie) that it was my birthday they set our table up with rose petals and a bottle of sparkling wine, and popped a little "happy birthday" letter under our hotel room's door! So sweet of them. You can also get toasties, baguettes, ice cream and chips from the pool bar if you wanted. The drinks were also good. The pool bar opens from 10am and there was self service beer (the Canary Island beer 'Tropical') and soft drinks there and in the main Magico buffet restaurant. White red and rose wine was also available as well as a variety of cocktails! The Wunderbar in the lobby was our favourite place to get cocktails, the bar man there makes a great Mojito and loved the 'Hakuna Matata' cocktail! There is also a Plaza bar where there is sometimes live music and DJs on; I think this place opened at 6pm until late. Every single member of staff seemed to go out of their way to make sure everyone was having a good time. We were just there to relax; there were many activities going on every day but we were never pressured to join in if we didn't want to. The staff were wonderfully friendly; we were travelling as a couple but we both commented on how good the staff were with the children which were staying there. The hotel is a walk or a taxi ride from Jandia. As we were there to relax we didn't leave the hotel much; we walked on the beautiful beach and went on the 'Lazy Days' catamaran tour (which I would highly recommend: great crew, a nice way to see the landscape without being cooped up in a bus and we saw wild dolphins jumping and playing in the water around us!). We also climbed the giant hill opposite the hotel as a "birthday challenge". It was steep but the views were incredible! Overall I cannot fault any aspect of the hotel. There were holiday makers there from all across Europe and everyone seemed to be having a great time. As half term approached it seemed to fill up with more families, but before this it seemed to be mainly older couples and groups of friends staying here. We would definitely return, and we would definitely stay in another club magic life hotel if it is anything as great as this one!More
