I went with my wife for our anniversary. We fancied an all inclusive holiday with the options of doing some activities etc. I read some reviews and saw that this place had Road bike and Mountain bike tours INCLUDED with decent bikes available at without needing to go out and hire. If you are into cycling, take your kit! They have pedals to suit Shimano SPD and SPD-SL. If you use anything else you would be best to take your pedals too. The tours are led by a pro guide. Both guys were top blokes! I stuck to the road bike tours, Christian was the guide. Very friendly Romanian chap who is very fit. Every day was anew challenge and he managed the group/abilities well. Fuerta is not flat, it's windy, the tours are tough unless you are fit. The easiest day is Friday, a short 20 miles to the local town and back. 2600ft of climbing, usually at a calm pace of about 12-15mph avg. Saturday is the guides day off. Sunday was a 42mile ride 4400ft climbing. Monday slight further slightly larger climb... It ramps up to Thursday which is a 90 mile epic ride but I did not ride this one. Roads are great, drivers give lots of space...you can ride on parts of the highway and it is safe. The bikes: Scott branded. Alu frame, Carbon seat post and Forks for comfort. Shimano 105 group set. 25mm tires. Spot on!!!! Small mod to the bottle cages allowing you to take a 1.5ltr bottle (you'll need it). The mountain bikes were Scott hardtails with hydraulic discs, mid range rock shox. Spot on again. Drill was: book the day before in the pool bar at 15:00-15:30...meet the guides book a bike chat about what to expect. Next morning get up get breakfast and take a small plastic bag...take some gummie Bears from the buffet for some mid ride energy. Meet at the bike centre at 08:45, get set up and hit the road as a group for about 9. Depending on the distance but get back around lunch and spend the rest of the day trying to even out the tan lines and chilling out. Spot on. As this is a review of the whole place I suppose I should tell you about the rest of the place... It's all fine :)More
Been coming to the island for years now, usually stay in different hotels. Magic life is a good base, i would say you need a car but it seems most people are happy to stay around the hotel. The food is good, infact if you are not strict with yourself you will definitely put weight on here ! morning noon and night food and drink is available. it`s very family friendly, it was very busy when we stayed, we would stay there again.More
Summer family holiday
We stayed for two weeks this Aug. Two adults, children 17, 10 & 8. We had to go into two rooms and had requested two rooms together. On arrival we had been given a welcome drink and waited to be booked in. We had been on a coach from the airport and everybody on the coach was staying here. However booking in was much quicker than we anticipated. Sadly, our rooms wherein the same building but different floors. As it turned out, this was not a problem as we could use the phone in each room to call each other (this was free). Hotel was very, very good. Food amazing, highly recommend the Italian. Kids club for our 8 & 10 yrs old were also very good. Our boys loved it. Pool bar was self service for soft drinks and beer, but you were served for anything else. Never a long wait to be served. Cold Cava on ice at the bar which you helped yourself too. NO ALL-INCLUSIVE bracelet which was amazing!!! Plenty of sunbeds, hotel was very very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only things that could be improved - checking out, despite having two rooms we were unable to have either as a late checkout. We were told we could use the showers in the spa, but there was only a couple and with most people not having a late checkout, his was going to be very busy. The hotel is very secluded and the gate to the beach shuts at 10pm so there is nowhere to really walk. Didn't watch much entertainment and the one show we did watch was dreadful. However this aside, there was live music, pool tables and plenty to be getting on with. If I went back to the island I would stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The main big pool is brilliant for very young children, only a couple inches deep at the edge. Gets deeper very slowly. In short, highly recommend! Would go again, not for anybody in wheelchair or poor mobility due to steps. Book this hotel and enjoy!!More
Not for the faint hearted
This is a nice clean hotel more suited for families. We were 2 single ladies and did not find this hotel ideal for us. On the plus side the rooms were of a good size and very well kept. The food was very good especially sweets. The entertainment on the other hand did leave a lot to be desired. Most nights it was just miming and dancing. A couple of times it was a bit better. As mentioned in other reviews there are a lot of steps to navigate and a lot of slopes upwards. There are 2 ways down to the beach. The easiest is between blocks 10 and 11 but there are still a lot of steps and slopes. If you use this what make sure you take your room card with you. This is the only way to get back through the gate. When you are on the beach there are toilets but no food. The price of 2 beds and an umbrella is â¬13.50. The price is the same on all beaches. We found it better to get a cab to either Jandia or Morre Jable to go on the beach. They both have a cafe where the food is pretty good. Finally there is not anywhere to walk to. The hotel is pretty isolated. If you like to laze around the pool this is an ideal place.More
Our first visit to Tui Magic Life, we would not hesitate in going back. We requested a sea view room and were allocated a room in block 15 which gave us a pool and sea view, it was also near the bar and restaurants, but was quiet on a night time We ate in the main restaurant, but mainly ate in the a la carte's which had less choice but for us it was quieter and less rushed, with the main courses being served to you. All the food was of a very high standard and the meat was very good quality. I didn't believe it when people were saying that bottles of wine were available for you to help yourself but it was true, bottles of red on the tables but you could change it to white or rose if you wanted and they encouraged you to take a bottle to your room if you wanted to. David in the Plaza bar was brilliant, he was so hard working and managed to keep the queues down. Before I went I was worried about the cats, but I needn't have worried they were very well looked after and did not come near you unless you went to stroke them. Would not hesitate in going back.More
