It's all about the pools here, and it's no wonder. Not only can you grab yourself a prime spot for a sea view, but each pool has a pergola area with sunbeds, great for cooling off on those lazy days.
Magic Mungo Club
This is definitely the place to be. With parties, games, pool games, shows, picnics and a great playground, there's plenty to keep the little ones well entertained. For ages 3 to 6 years, available 6 days a week.
El Gusto restaurant
Choose from a great range of Spanish and Canarian dishes for dinner. You'll get 1 visit here per week included in your All Inclusive. This place is only open on select days, so you'll need to reserve a table 24-hours ahead. Gentlemen are required to wear long bermuda shorts or long trousers for dinner.

Not so magic
Sorry to say, but magic life did not live up to its name. Firstly we had to change rooms, given 17001, the steps to the shops and gym went down past our balcony allowing everybody that went by to glance into our room, not a sea view room but a see you room. The food, there was plenty of choice, but the quality was poor and most of the food was cold or tepid at best, the glasses in the restaurant smelt of diesel, after bringing this to the attention of the waiter, who agreed and quickly got the manager, who was sorry about the smell, which spoilt the beer, nothing was done about the smell during our stay. The pools were freezing (15 degrees), the only pool heated was up to 26 degrees and that was in the spa, which was no clothes only, so in we went! Most of entertainment was of poor quality, except for the circus show in the huge theatre. In the plaza bar the late night music was terrible and with the entertainment staff intent on dragging you out to dance it was best to go to bed. The complex itself I have to say is brilliantly laid out with plenty of sunbeds spread around. Sorry to say we won't be going backMore
Can't wait to return
The transfer from the airport to the hotel took about an hour and a half with also a long delay at the aiport waiting for other people from different flights which was a bit annoying, as you are keen to get going. Anyway, we arrived at the hotel around 9pm with a drink and a warm welcome waiting for us. I'd emailed beforehand and asked for a quiet room and we were in block 20. The room was large and comfortable, although the bed was a bit hard for my taste and was two singles pushed together. As mentioned in other reviews, there are literally only 3 English channels: BBC World, Sky News and France 24 in English. If you are German, French or Italian (or indeed, Spanish) you have a whole cornucopia of channels to choose from. We were on holiday, not there to watch television, but it's nice to have on whilst you are getting ready for dinner or coming home at night. We've stayed in other hotels with a high German clientele but there was always a channel showing a film or two in English, but not so here. The shower was great and the bathroom really clean although the rail in the bath was loose (we didn't need to use it as we only used the shower). There is a good hairdryer, soap, shampoo/body wash dispenser, packet of tissues, shower cap and comb in the room. However, the packaging says they are all from the 'basic' range which doesn't fill you with ideas of luxury. The wardrobes were a good size and there was plenty of shelf space. There's also a safe which was easy to use and a fridge. The balcony had comfortable wicker tables and a chair. We were on the second floor of 3, but there is a lift if you need it. The resort is really well laid out. There are palm trees everywhere and it is well landscaped. I thought the resort might look old fashioned from the pictures I had seen before going, with the white stucco walls and dark wood, but it actually looks really nice. Everywhere is SPOTLESS! Meals: The food is great, there is absolutely loads of variety, all great quality and very nice. At breakfast, you can have sugar free rice pudding, which made me happy, cereals, continetal breakfast or a full English. I loved the potato tortilla and my husband loved the made to order omlettes. The restaurant opens again at lunch but to be honest we normally used the pool bar and had the tasty sandwiches that you can have toasted, rolls and fries that were so dangerous as you can help yourself. The evening meals were again brilliant. The restaurant was always neatly laid out with with a bottle of wine on each table. We much preferred the Rose but if you have white or red at your table you can go to the drinks area and change it. We had an issue with the Chinese buffet section however. I love Chinese food but it tends to have a lot of cashew nuts in it which I am allergic to, so I need to be careful. Each night I would head straight for the Chinese section to see what was on offer but each time I was disappointed to see that the description was only in German. In fact, it was the recipe, printed onto full A4 sheets with no English (or Spanish) whatsoever. Sometimes, it was easy enough to work out what the food was, but after 4 days of this my husband spoke to the Restaurant Manager who said it would be rectified for the following night. The next time we went in, once again there was no English description (I didn't need the whole recipe, just one line to tell me what the dish was). The Manager said it was on his clipboard and he'd forgotten to put it out. Okay. However, for the remainder of our 11 day holiday every night there was no English description. There were other English people who would walk up to the food, have a puzzled look on their faces and then walk away. How many of them complained, I'm not sure but I definitely think the restaurant needs to look to improve this. Drinks: Strong! We never normally get tipsy on holiday but we did have a couple of rough heads in the morning here... You can pay extra for international brands, but why bother. We loved the White Rum and Cola Light as well as the Vodka Sunrise cocktail. There was also a lovely non-alcoholic cocktail, Cinderella. The Wunder Bar is open 24 hours a day. There is a pool bar which is open from 10:00, with a handy self-service cold drink dispenser (cola, fanta, etc). You can also get coffee here. The Plaza Bar is open until 02:00 am, with live music until midnight and a DJ afterwards. Glass sided, it is situated on a lovely terraced area. We were in block 20 and didn't hear anything with the windows shut at night, but you may if you are nearer. Everyone was well behaved though, we weren't aware of any bad behaviour from anyone. The bar staff in here are brilliant! They can remember loads of orders and service is quick too. Entertainment: When you hear that the in-house entertainment team put shows on at night, maybe your heart drops a little like mine used to - backing tapes, miming and tacky... Well, not here! Despite being still in the quiet season, I assume, the shows were brilliant! The choreographers work really hard and the shows are funny, moving, beautiful and energetic. What a boon they are to the hotel! All the entertainment team participate and what a great bunch of people they are - they became friends by the end of our holiday. Some are loud, some are quiet, some are cheeky, but all are polite and well-mannered. Leading the activities throughout the day and making sure you get involved if you want to be but left alone if you don't, my husband loved taking part in everything! There were one or two issues where the rules/instructions are in German and they forget to tell you in English, but otherwise everything is well planned, with good quality equipment and fun. I enjoyed the spin classes overlooking the ocean, the exercise classes and most of all the Nordic Walking. The surrounding area isn't fab (not the fault of the hotel, the whole island looks pretty desolate) but the activity was really good. For a couple of times the walk was lead by a guy who was quiet. Each time he resolutely avoided talking to me throughout the whole hour and I thought maybe he didn't speak very good English as he stuck with the Germans (particularly the tall, slim, single female ones...) but then I remembered he is also the Magic Angel who brings single travellers together so I presume he must speak several languages. Maybe he doesn't like speaking English... However, on other days we went with Vittorio - and he spent the whole time singing and having fun. how he can keep his energy levels up like that I've no idea but he was great company for everyone! My husband took part in archery, bocchia, darts and shuffleboard. There was a great atmosphere and all nationalities got on really well. The entertainment team went into the Plaza Bar each evening and mingled with everyone - I know it's their job but they made it relaxed and easy. We are planning on returning next year and if Nikolay, Nico, Marti, Chelsea, Alex, Richie, etc aren't there we will be very disappointed (ask Marti to do his Arnold Schwarzenegger impression!). A couple of weeks on, I'm really missing the hotel and can heartily recommend it. Have a great time if you go!More
Lovely holiday, perfect for family and couples.
Me and my boyfriend aged (20 and 21) went to Club Magic Life from the 11th March-18th. After reading many mixed reviews we were quite concerned to how the holiday would go. But, it was lovely and I would highly recommend! Rooms; We were in block 22, many on here say it is far away. But it is wasn't, 2 minute walk to the main restaurant, it was actually a nice spot as it was away from the night music/entertainment so that we could have some piece if we didn't want to go out. The room was spacious, very modern and the balcony was lovely along with the huge bathroom. Location; Although the hotel location is rather quiet, there is so much to do/offer in the hotel, there is no need to go elsewhere.. There is a mountain opposite with a safe walkway which is lovely to walk up and the scenery is amazing! -Jandia town is lovely, with many shops and restaurants and the beach is amazing (watch out for the nudist part haha) -Moral Jable (I think that's how you spell it) is is small village with the harbour that is â¬8 in a taxi, the boats can take you on trips and you can also go jet skiing. -The town is just over an hours walk along the beach front and it's beautiful, especially when the chipmunks come out, but if you don't want to walk a taxi is a reasonable price. -I highly suggest the Oasis Safari park, there's loads of animals there and a nice day out. Food; EVERYTHING YOU COULD THINK OF. If anyone was to complain about the food they must be mad!! They had everything to offer and the set out was amazing, the food looked and tasted fresh and delicious. -The 3 themed restaurants are tasty and an enjoyable part of the holiday as you are waited on. - Snacks all day, chips sandwiches etc.. The beer is really nice.. The cocktails are very strong but also lovely. -Main restaurant; bottle of wine on the table when you come in which I thought was a nice touch. Pools; I think there was 5 to choose from , they were huge. And there were loads of sun beds and free towels on offer. Overall a lovely holiday and the hotel was MASSIVE I'm surprised we didn't get lost. Friendly staff, very welcoming and I would recommend the place and hotel hugely!More
Second visit, still has the magic
Just starting our second week here and its still fantastic despite some shocking weather. Food is fabulous, great choice, tasty and an unbelievable variety. All the staff in the restaurants are superb, nothing too much trouble and everything with a friendly word and a smile. Entertainment is there if you want it but not pushed on you, thanks to Martin for great help with archery, he keeps it light, safe and entertaining. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and kept spotless, the cleaners and groundspeople are very friendly and we would like to say a special hello to Farida who works so hard to look after us so well and keep our room spotless, always with a smile. Thanks to everyone at Club Magic Life.More

What a Treat
We have just returned from a 10 day holiday at this Club Magic Resort and throughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is very relaxing, plenty of pools and sunbeds. Fantastic choice and quality of food in the main restaurant and I thought the selection of drinks was great. Enjoyed going to the Plaza Bar for a couple of Pina Colada's before our evening meal! Restaurant was very busy at times, but you expect this at an all inc. Very large and comfortable room with all that you need, in block 14 with a lovely sea view. Only English tv channels were news channels but we were not in our room enough for that to be a problem. Very comfy wicker chairs on the balcony. On a couple of mornings we had the maid knock at 8.45am to see if we were in, which we were, so i suggest if you want a lay in put out the do not disturb sign. I had a couple of treatments at the Spa which were so lovely and relaxing and I would recommend a visit. Our First Choice rep at the resort was a lady called Lesley and I can honestly say the best rep we have ever had. Upon check in we were given nice refreshing drink which was welcome after a long transfer (over an hour) but check in did take ages as the reception staff gave each guest upon checking in comprehensive details of the resort and facilities. Overall a lovely, relaxing, well maintained resort with everything you would need for a fantastic holiday.More
