I've rated as Very Good based on the price we paid for this holiday. We were very pleased with our choice. Before booking we had read the reviews and knew what to expect and knew that a refurb is going to take place. Biggest plus points for this hotel are: Immaculately clean, our room had fresh linen and towels every day, bathroom immaculate. The toilets in the public areas also immaculate which must be a hard slog considering the volume of people that use these toilets every day, much credit to the lovely housekeeping ladies. Location/Pools/Beach - the pools were great, the location right on the beach with the beach bar just wonderful, well kept gardens, good sunbeds and umbrellas. Food - Lunch was the best meal of the day, if you miss lunch your missing out! The BBQ'd chicken was delicious as was the freshly made pizza. Breakfast and evening meals were good, plenty of choice and I would say that if you don't find at least one thing you like to eat at this hotel then you are such a fussy eater you should look to self cater and not go all inclusive. Lovely fresh salads, fruit, breads, plus your chicken, pork, fish, veggie options and pasta dishes. Most days there was a 'freshly cooked' station cooking pasta or carving roast meats. The only negative aspect of our holiday was the terrible air conditioning in our room and I felt generally across the whole hotel. We had a family room in the annex with a fab sea view. It was carpeted which made the heat in the room twice as bad. I think alot of rooms had tiled floors which I'm sure would be cooler? The AC unit was more than useless, it was the size of a chest of drawers and put inside a wooden cabinet with a gap at the top. After 2 nights of no sleep we asked for the AC to be checked, we did have to ask 3 times over 2 days but eventually blessed relief was delivered in the form of a fan. The hotel in general was very warm apart from the shop and the lounge on the reception floor opposite the shop. The remainder of the public areas in the hotel were not (or did not feel) air conditioned. This left me feeling like there were very little places you could go to escape from the heat if it got a bit much. However I'm sure these are issues that will be dealt with during the refurb, so its a bit of a moot point really. We didn't use the wifi as it was great for us as a family to get offline for a week - we actually had to talk to each other and we ended up having a great laugh. All in all a good holiday. If we can afford it after refurb we will go back but I suspect after the upgrade it will be well outside our budget.More

Firstly I would like to say thank you to Mr George, All the reception staff, Housekeeping, Bar staff, catering staff animation team, grounds people and lifeguards. Sorry if I have forgotten anyone. Big thank you to Irenne, Nichos from behind the bar. Sarah the TUI rep was very helpful. The reception staff always happy and cheerful and worked very efficently. The staff also organised a birthday cake to celebrate my daughters 12 birthday. Thank you. The accommodation. The room was large including a kitchenette. Pride was taken from housekeeping the room was immaculate. I will agree the room was a little dated. However the hotel is having major renovations Next year and I did not go on holiday to find every crack in the wall. The air conditioning was fantastic and sometimes even too cool. The Catering Staff we very accommodating and took particular care of my daughter with her egg allergy. Every evening they greeted my daughter and went through the food that contained egg. Thank you for looking after her. The staff made a big effort to serve different meals daily. The meals were always warm and looked fresh. The hotel also provided a microwave if you wanted to have boiling hot food. Unlimited ice cream until 17.00. There is food provided all day long. The bbq food was fantastic and served daily except Sunday. We tried the Chinese food twice it was ok. The food from the lunchtime buffet was lovely the freshly cooked pizza daily was gorgeous and the unlimited water melon. If you go through the main dining room during the evening meal, there are larger tables also the junior buffet bar. The Bar Staff are fantastic and very fair. They make you que to ensure everyone is served correctly and they won't let you order too many drinks 8 is about a maximum. The fabulous amazing Irenne and Nichos and sorry I can't remember the young lady during the day were so friendly and always joking and smiling with the customers. I loved the idea of the iced frapes and slush puppies taken around the pool during the very hot days. Lovely personal touch it meant a lot. Swimming Pools are well maintained even after The mess from the night before. The poor groundsman. Is clearing up from at least 6.00 in the morning. The only slight niggle is you definitely have to be down by no later than 7.00 to get your sunbed for the day. The deep pool is quite cold but so needed in the heat. We did not use the jacuzzi and gym as we wanted to stay out in the sun. However I understand their was a small charge. Entertainment. The staff put on daily activities at the pool and beach and worked very hard. I love the Machacou the hotel song. This played twice a day and all the entertainment staff participated it was also played during mini disco. The evening entertainment was a group of 2 singers and 6 dancers outside and in the central bar a keyboard player and singer. Lovely cocktails served in central bar. Beach is amazing 1 minute from poolside. Strongly recommend water shoes the ground gets very hot and their is shingles off the sand and little uncomfortable under the feet. Never used sunbed on the beach however I understand their is a charge. Lovely cocktails at the beach bar next to the bbq. We had a fantastic boat trip from the red steps on the beach it cost â¬15.00 per adult and â¬8.00 euros per child It was a glass bottom boat and we were out for 2 hours including 2 swims strongly recommend this trip fantastic. Leaflets are available on the boardwalk towards the beach. I think it was called Captain George. We made a brief visit to the on site night club. A very good artist in the arcade area worth a check out. Sarah the Thompson rep is very knowledgeable and has lived in Rhodes for about 20 years. Sarah is very approachable and is on site twice a day. Immaculately kept, cleaners working day and night thank you. We will definitely be returning . Thank you Mr George for the chat and your lovely wishes to us the last night of our holiday. We hope to see you when we return. Thank you Louis Colossos for a well needed holiday. That you ensured was relaxing and trouble free.More
Amazing location, right between the beach and bus/taxi stations, as well as nice spacious rooms! The entertainment every night was very enjoyable; the kids loved it. Plenty of food for each meal and a special barbecue at lunch. My only problem was it was confusing to get the Wi-Fi to work. Overall, a really fun, peaceful trip and a lovely stay at this hotel!More

LOVED OUR STAY. More
For the last 10 years I have been in this hotel, always 3 weeks. The hotel gets a little bit old (renovating winter 2016/17) but the rooms are clean and still comfortable, by the way, I just sleep and take a bath in my room, the other time I spend in and around this lovely hotel. Always nice food everywhere and the bbq at the beach is excellent with the beautiful seaview. The staff is always friendly and helpful, I do not recognise previous complaints about it on this site, you should treat staff / people the way you like to be treaten, a smile or friendly word costs nothing !! I canât believe a previous complain on this site about Manager George, that he did not keep his promisses. When you need something in the hotel, just ask George and he will arrange it immediately or he calls somebody to do it. I never got disappointed about a request to him or other staffmember. Thanks for another lovely holiday.More
