Dream Apartments

We had a very pleasant stay here, we were fortunate enough to have one of the refurbished rooms. There was a slight problem with the air con but this was quickly rectified. Maria & Michaelos are lovely people & couldnt do enough for you. The pool area was very clean & relaxed. The sun loungers could do with being updated & they could do with having a few more brollies. We hired a quad bike for the week & this was great for exploring & going to the different beaches. The weather was lovely & hot too. We enjoyed our stay at dream village so much that we have already booked to come back.

Booked this hotel due to the generally good ratings, choosing to ignore the negative reviews. On arrival we realised what a mistake this was. We were dropped off by the coach with no instructions as to where to check in. Fortunately another couple travelling with us had read reviews noting the check in area was at the bar down by the pool. The steps down to the pool were completely unsuitable for moving large heavy cases down. We had booked a mezzanine room and had hoped to get a refurbished room, however we were allocated an old style room. Despite there being 4 of us, we ended up with a tiny entrance terrace with a small table and two outdoors chairs, making it difficult for us and the kids to all sit together outside. The room was disappointing, particularly the bathroom which flooded every time the shower was used. I refused to use anything in the kitchen other than the fridge, opting to buy disposable plates and cutlery for breakfast and eating out for lunch and dinner every day. The kitchen was quite frankly disgusting. In terms of cleaning, this left a lot to be desired. We were led to believe that our towels etc should have been changed twice during our stay. We only got one change and this was because we asked. Most of the cleaner's day was spent smoking with the female owner. It was almost immediately apparent to us that the service level received from the owners depended on how much you spent with them. Given the cleanliness of our room, I didn't feel comfortable eating or drinking at the hotel. As such, we were ignored for every request made ie clean towels and emptying of the bins. We complained to the tui rep about the lack of service however she was more interested in selling trips and was noticeable by her general absence. The pool area was ok however the loungers were old and uncomfortable and the lack of umbrellas was annoyiny. That said the kids enjoyed the pool even though it probably could have been cleaner. The village is beautiful and we would definitely visit again, but would stay well clear of this hotel. For context we have stayed in the b&b hotel chain in France which is classed as 2* and is basic and clean. The apartments should really be rated as 1* at best.
