Where do I begin... firstly, this hotel was falsely advertised to have WiFi, AC and a safe in actuality the WiFi doesn’t work, you have to pay for the AC and safe. The ‘kitchenette’ was not a kitchenette there was no kettle, no microwave, no toaster and not enough cutlery. Felt very unsafe in this hotel. No security and doors left open all night. Flimsy doors for rooms. Have to check out at 10am and had to wait in the lobby for 19 hours for our transfer. No AC in the lobby either and old hard chairs to sit on with no where to keep your suitcase. Also at check in mr costas keeps hold of one members passport and at the end will fine you for anything

We stayed at kostas studios on a girls holiday and absolutely loved it!! The hotel is clean & the rooms are nice. Not far from the main strip at all. Big shoutout to the BEST reps ever Henry and Robyn who were the main reason why we had the best week, they made the holiday amazing!100% buy the package they offer to you because you make lots of friends and it is well worth it and they take you to the best places and party with you all night & get you absolutely steaming!! ps Henry & Robyn LOVE & MISS U XXXX

I went on holiday to Zante in September with three of my friends, and we stayed in Kostas Studios. Although the holiday itself was a lovely experience, the hotel we stayed in was dirty. On arrival we were greeted by our rep, Henry, who was lovely. We were checked in by the hotel owner Mr Kostas who was intimidating, and made us hand over two of our 4 passports in order to get the room keys. He then charged us 25 euros for a safe (which we could barely fit all of our things in), and tried charging us 50 euros per room for AC, which is advertised on the hotel website as coming with the room. We declined the AC. We were taken up to our rooms (we had to drag our suitcases up 2 flights of stairs), and on entrance we spotted several issues. Two of my friends who were staying in the room next door to myself found that they had blood stained bed sheets, and on bringing this issue up with the hotel staff were just informed that they "already knew about it". They were not offered clean sheets. My room we found was infested with ants, which I got bitten by every night. I would wake up every morning with at least 5 dead ants in my bed with me. Also, on coming home, one of my friends was rushed to A&E with a lymph infection from a sting that she got whilst in the hotel over night, and she had to be put on antibiotics. The WiFi (which is said to be provided on the website) is only available in the lobby, and is poor. There is a complete lack of security in the hotel as well, as there is nobody on reception most of the time, and all of the doors are left open. Anyone would be able to just walk through the hotel and be outside any room with ease. The doors are flimsy and could easily be broken if someone decided to do this. The balcony doors opened by themselves even though we had locked them before going out. The floor of the room also was disgusting. We were provided with no dust pan and brush or mop, and the maid did nothing about cleaning the floor for us. We had to dust our feet off every night before getting into bed because the floor was so dirty. The bathroom was not much better, as both rooms had no shower doors or curtains. This resulted in the tiled floor getting soaked every time we tried having a shower, leaving it slippery and hazardous. Every time we flushed the toilet, the whole bathroom smelt like feet. The "kitchenette" that we believed would be provided was nothing more than two old fashioned hob rings, which did not even boil our water, but rather just burned the pans that we placed on them. We had a tiny fridge that kept our drinks lukewarm at best. We were provided with no kettle, and the bin was emptied once all week. The hotel didn't even provide sponges with the sinks, so we had to scrape food off plates with our nails. Along with all these already mentioned issues, there were rats outside our rooms every night, and we had to deal with a stray cat wandering into our room on one occasion as well. The hotel also houses guests of the praying mantis kind, which we unfortunately found out when I got one stuck in my hair. On check out day, we were thrown out of our room at 10 in the morning although there was nobody waiting for our room. The staff refused to hold our cases for us, and our transfer to the airport wasn't until 3, so we had to sit round in the dirty, small, old fashioned hotel lobby for 5 hours with our suitcases. This was an awful end to our already awful experience. To top off the whole issue with the hotel, the owner refused to give us our passports back until we paid him 25 euros for small marks on the bed sheets, which they would not show us. For them to provide a hotel that you can barely survive in for a week and then charge you for issues that they won't even show you is a joke. Overall, Zante is a beautiful place to visit, and has abundant nightlife and plenty of fun things to explore and do during the day. Our rep Henry was also fab. However, staying in this hotel was disgusting, and I would definitely advise anyone looking to visit Zakynthos to pay the extra for a nicer hotel, as it wasn't even worth the small amount we paid for it.
