Encore At Wynn

We normally stay at the FS on the other end of the strip since we enjoy less crowds but mainly less smoke in the bar and common areas. We tried this hotel since the other hotel is still not open from COVID. I would also say if you like gambling, party and young pool scene then this hotel is a great choice. There are some redeeming qualities, but service is not one of them. One and done for us. The pros: 1. The décor of the hotel is beautiful in the rooms, the casino, pools, restaurants and grounds. Very light, bright, and lovely flowers. 2. The location in terms of shopping and being across from Fashion Show Mall (easy walk over the street to get to the mall). Very nice, high-end shops in the hotel like. 3. Lake Side and Elio Restaurants are very good food along with room service. 4. Good scene for twenty somethings wanting to party and gamble. 5. Housekeeping and room service was friendly and helpful. 6. Tower Suites – Parlor Suite is very nice and sexy for couples. 7. Sinatra’s – excellent drinks but slow service in the bar. 8. Spa shops are very nice and have many options for clothing and other sundries. The room for improvements: 1. Room Service timing – takes too long and about 10 to 20 mins more than they quote on the phone. 2. Check-in is not good and not like a high-end hotel. Counter is not private and hard to hear with all the COVID restrictions they have. Special entrance and check-in for the tower suites but they did not feel special, faster and less smoke filled. Only one to two people behind the counter while you wait. 3. Credit card machines at the counter for check-in make it feel cheap, as does the resort map of the property. 4. Concierge was not helpful and did not try to solve our questions or concerns when we asked for reservations and times for restaurants to open. 5. Elevator lines are too long and crowded for the tower suites and they are slow since they service all floors – just down the hall are ones that service only certain floors which make them faster. 6. Valet parking is an afterthought and slow. Not friendly and helpful and do not hand out bottled water etc. Upon check-in, I booked the suites to avoid the crowds and smoke, and after I gave the valet my name, he sent me to the regular check in area, only to them to send me back to the tower suites check in area – frustrating and waste of time.

I've stayed in almost every hotel on the strip and I've never had such a horrible experience... moins the 4th of July...it took over an hour with 10 people in line to check us in... no joke... here for business. No pool access for 2 days because too busy, extended a night and waited in line 30 minutes because it COULDN'T be done over the phone. Added a second security deposit and morons behind the counter...way understaffed... then...mask NAZIS! I'm a smoker... and I understand the regulations HOWEVER they require here and here alone that you pour your mask up in between puffs and the first instance isn't a kind encounter. I am one of the most friendly human and was approached in the most disrespectful way every time even with a 2 second interval. One security guard even threatened to have me evicted! After I kindly complied after I'd barely released my puff. I have high standards for Vegas and come here frequently for business. Transferred from the cosmo after 2 nights only because they were booked. I will NEVER stay here again. I expect what I pay for and $400 a night with the highest $51 resort fee in town... not worth it. Every person here is burnt out. They've remodeled an old casino in a rough way and the COSMOPOLITAN... best experience PERIOD and zero comparison. I'm angry to the point of sacrificing my money and leaving. Please choose other accommodations... trust me... besides my own squabbles...it is not worth the money, horrible service and quality. Again... I'll never stay here and you'd do well to choose a different resort and experience.

Stayed in a Salon Suite in the Tower Suites section. The suite itself was practically perfect, just the right size for us, everything was clean and comfortable. The standards the hotel uses to ensure guest safety aren't overbearing nor are they lax. You can tell the employees of Wynn and Encore truly care about their guests. Dining at Wazuzu and Jardin was wonderful, we loved the pool as usual. Wynn and Encore are now officially my wife and my "home" hotel when we come to Vegas. We've stayed many places, including Aria Sky Villas, Mirage Villas, Skylofts, etc. and find Wynn to be the best. As long as you don't force guests to wear masks, which we won't, we will be back as nothing in Vegas beats Wynn/Encore.
