The Mirador Papagayo

What a fab hotel.. We went for an all-inclusive holiday for 7 days. The staff including reception, waiters/waitresses and entertainment staff was lovely and friendly. We were given a sea view room with a lovely balcony- absolute bliss. The room was very spacious with tea and coffee topped up every day. Towels are changed daily and you can request for bedding to be changed daily too. Bathroom was also big with shampoo, shower gel and hairdryer provided. Wide range of channels of the TV and there was even a sofa to chill on. Very close to the harbour where there are more shops and restaurants. Supermarket only few mins walk away. We never had difficulties looking for sunbeds. There was plenty of space at any time around the pool. There are umbrellas dotted around and beach towels to hire with a deposit. The pool was big enough with 2 jacuzzis. There was also separate kids and children pools. The pool bar was great, did snacks throughout the day like hotdogs, ice creams, burgers. Can have a wide range of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks as much as you like! Breakfast was great- lots to choose from- hot and cold counters. Fresh eggs and omelettes made to order. Lunch and dinner was quite similar, always options for meat, fish and veggie dishes. Only thing was the kids menu was always pasta and sauce and occasionally pizza. Wide range of desserts and of course we helped ourselves to wine, beers and pop at dinner. Entertainment was great, lots of activities throughout the day ranging from water aerobics, ping pong, shooting to archery. The entertainment team was very friendly and lively, not forceful at all. There is always a gym and spa attached if you wanted to work out/get treatments. Evening shows were good also, some funny acts, magic, tribute acts. There was a paella and sangria demonstration one afternoon at the bar- was great! Wide range of cocktails and drinks included- Amstel as the beer on tap. They make the cocktails strong though! Overall would definitely recommend, so relaxing, we would 100% go back again!

We have just returned from yet another great stay at the Mirador. This is our 14/15th visit?? (Lost count) and we continue to enjoy them more each time we visit. What makes us keep going back?? -Always made to feel welcome/appreciated -Friendly/Professional /Happy staff across all service areas -Cleanliness of hotel/rooms -Great location and sea views , close to marina and lovely walk into Playa Blanca town -Sunbeds are always available any time of day. As returning guests, we are always greeted and treated well during our stay. This year we were taken out on a 2 hour catamaran trip by the hotel for a sail across the bay which was much appreciated by ourselves and fellow guests. Lena, the Director, always makes herself available to guests, making regular visits to the restaurant and reception areas to invite feedback on guest experiences. The hotel also has a guest experience officer, Marjolein, who provides a great service looking after guest requirements and giving advice and guidance on the hotel, Playa Blanca and Lanzarote in general. In our opinion, the hotel strives to improve on a continual basis, and we can’t wait to return to the Mirador for our 3rd visit this year.

Stayed here for 2 weeks ,hotel is very well run, lovely refurbished rooms with everything you need , cleaners do a exceptional job of keeping it clean , towels changed daily ,and a fresh bottle of water was left every other day .Hotel has day time activities with no pressure to join in and a evening programme .Great choice of food in the restaurant, menu changed daily .Pool area was always clean and there was always a sunbed available. It's a 15 min walk to the marina which has some great bars and it's great to watch the boats and all the fish swimming around .Playa blanca is another 15 min walk from the Marina with some lovely views of Fuevaventura. There is also a small shopping area and bars to the left of the hotel set off the promenade. We would definitely recommend this hotel for families ,couples and older people .And would definitely use this hotel again .
