The Hotel Puerto de Mogan

We arrived with an other couple who we met on the courtesy bus from the airport. They went first to reception and had booked an apartment but were half board. They were immediately offered an upgrade to stay in the hotel and the guy on reception was telling them how much better it was than the apartments etc., etc., My turn now and I was just booked into my apartment, which in all fairness was nice, it was spacious, furnished nicely and clean. I knew before I booked there was a Juliet balcony and thought I wouldn't mind that, but, in hindsight, no I didn't like it and missed a full balcony. Mogan is lovely and have visited as a day visitor many times and must admit I won't stay again, not lively enough for me and by 10pm people are winding down which I found bizarre. There was no toaster in the room and considering we were self-catering I did miss this, but .,.. there was some bathroom scales in case you wanted to watch your weight! Bizarre. The safe, WiFi and air-con were all included and didn't need to pay separate for these as in some apartments I have stayed in. We checked out at 12 and the English lady on reception literally just took our key cards, nothing else was said, I would have expected, did you have a nice stay? or was everything to your satisfaction, I felt very devalued as when I was watching arrivals they were given warm towels to freshen up and glasses of juice, we got none of this! A beautiful place, a lovely apartment but lacking greatly in customer care and for that I cannot give it full marks.

My husband and I stayed here late January, we booked a superior apartment at the hotel on the TUI website. When we arrived we were told that we were not staying in the hotel and were a 6 minute walk away in a nearby apartment. We were most disappointed to find this out and started to question the receptionist but thought we would go to our apartment first before we complained. We were really pleased when we found our apartment as it was in the heart of this beautiful place. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk every morning to the hotel for our breakfast along the marina. The staff we so friendly and helpful and checked that we were happy with our apartment which we were very much so. Will definitely be returning. Justine and Chris Ensby

Just returned from our 2nd visit,can’t fault the location a beautiful resort , however the food in the hotel leaves a lot to be desired breakfast was just about passable but the evening meal was not good , soup was always cold and the buffet food at best was Luke warm also unless you where buying bottles of wine the waiters weren’t interested in you , the worst thing of all as someone who suffers with a sever allergy to shell fish was watching the chef pick up the chicken and fish and using the same tongs .Such a shame as due to these problems we will not be returning again.
