    This modern hotel is in a peaceful setting with a Blue Flag beach down the road. It’s also got a waterpark packed with everything from speed slides to a lazy river.

    Hotel Sur Menorca has it's own onsite waterpark. It’s stocked with all the must-haves, like multi-lane racers, speed slides and a lazy river, plus there’s loads for little ones to get their teeth into.

    The hotel’s in a quiet spot on the outskirts of Punta Prima. That said, it’s only 5 minutes to town and the beach on the free shuttle bus – or you can walk in it 15.

    Just so you know, some of the slides here may be too big for little swimmers. All slides have a minimum height restriction of 120cm.

    • Onsite waterpark

      The waterpark here has something for everyone, from the speedy Multi Lane Slide to the mighty Hydro Tube Kamikaze. There's also the Giant Slide with its twists and turns with rubber rings. Little ones have also got their own section with a pirate-themed ship with small tube slides and water features.

      Just so you know, some of the slides here may be too big for little swimmers.

    We have just returned from a week here with our toddler. Overall, very impressed,but some smaller niggly bits as well as praise, so felt a fair review was warranted. CONS -Beds not the most comfortable. Not insanely UNcomfortable but not 4-star quality, which the hotel officially is. - I also agree with the review a little below about the small showers. It wasn't a huge issue for us but I imagine it may be for some. We stayed in the hotel rooms with twin bed and a sofa bed, but I understand that the family/superior rooms had baths. - We were unlucky enough to have our personal Spotify/Amazon accounts hacked over the hotel's WiFi. Admittedly,this may be a reflection on our devices' security rather than the hotel's WiFi, but I feel it's worth mentioning. - We were also silly enough to leave our toddler's sandals by the pool one day. Unfortunately, these were not handed in to reception as you'd hope and expect, someone took them. Yes, it was our fault to have left them anyway by mistake, but still a shame that some hotel guests would do this. - Hotel guests not adhering to the no smoking areas around the pool and seating areas. PROS - The area is lovely, very beautiful. Nestled between Punta Prima and Binibeca, both are traditional and gorgeous Menorcan villages on the coast with sandy and unspoiled beaches, plus a small selection of bars, restaurants and shops without being overly commercialised. You could walk to Punta Prima in around 15 minutes but the free shuttle bus that runs hourly is brilliant. We reached Binibeca by the tourist/public road train. A lovely excursion that offers unlimited hop on hop off for 7euros per adult and runs between Punta Prima and Binibeca every hour. Our toddler loved it. In Binibeca,we got off at stop 8 (you could also get off at stop 3 or 4 and cross road) and headed down the path to the cove and beach area, which was just superb. - Unlimited entry to the water park attached to the hotel. Again, brilliant. All inclusive drinks, but not food, available here. We loved it and there was something for everyone. Never had to fight or struggle to find a sunbed. Very clean. - The staff are so friendly and helpful. - Food was brilliant. I am a vegetarian and didn't struggle. Ample choice of fresh fruits and vegetable dishes, as well as antipastes and breads, at every meal. Meal times ideal. Snacks twice a day, morning and afternoon (and the afternoon one is basically a pre dinner!). - Good warm pool with ample sun beds (no fighting/ or towel reserving seen during our stay!). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. I wouldn't say it is 4 star, 3 star is fairer. The area is just ideal and not far from airport of the capital, Mahon (public bus also picks up from hotel but only runs hourly (at least when we went) and was EXTREMELY busy). It's very family orientated and friendly. Unfortunately, some hotel guests let the overall feel down, but that's not a reflection on the hotel, or their fault. I would recommend,especially for what we paid.

    Why nice relaxing holiday, facilities very good. Short 15 minute walk to nearest town and the beach. There is a free bus though if you can’t manage the walk. Splash water park rig he opposite, free entry so no complaints. Drinks included but have to pay for food. Food at the restaurant in main hotel, good choices and something for everyone even the little ones. Relaxing pool area, plenty of sun beds and others areas to lay around and enjoy the sun. The rooms, showers too small, doors do not open fully as they are too close to the sink. Beds not the most comfortable. Overall very enjoyable holiday. Would return
    Little Gem of a Family Hotel

    We went to this hotel, not exactly knowing what we would find, but we found a little gem. On the South Eastern tip of Menorca, Punta Prima is a lovely quiet peaceful place, but there is still plenty going on for adults with families. Large pool for swimming and kiddies splash pool, outside bar close by, serving alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and coffee, lovely lounge area and a nice seating area away from the usual if reading is your way to relax. If travelling is your thing, there is a large car park outside, the service bus stops right outside, (you virtually walk up the steps from the hotel onto the bus), there is a train stop outside if you prefer, and then a shuttle bus on the hour to take you to the beach and back, although if you're a walker, a 20 minute stroll. But the creme de la creme is the Hotel Sur splash park at the other side of the car park, free to residents of the Hotel, but 20 euro to visitors. Punta Prima village is where the shuttle bus drops off to the beach and pick up back. Not a lot in the village, a couple of bars and somewhere to eat, but pleasant enough. Entertainment is outside, with Kids Club and adult entertainment (weather permitting). Not the best I admit but fun non the less. Overall, a nice pleasant chill out week.

    Stayed for a week as a couple in mid september. Firstly I must say found hotel to be very clean and well maintained,reception staff very polite helpful and always cheerful and willing to help.Only problem you can't get your rooms until 3pm so as many of flights are early ones you are left sitting about in your travel clothes although you can get drinks and lunch. Room plenty big enough for two overlooking reception on third floor.I had emailed hotel and requested a quiet room and that's exactly what we got,thankyou. .Hotel is situated on road 20-25 mins walk from prima punta ,no shops in local area,just one in reception which sells souvenirs and basic essentials and reasonably priced.There is a bar/restaurant 10mins walk that shows sports etc if your missing them. Entertainment team were a let down,,I didnt feel they engaged with any one,if you were not around the pool they wernt interested.Half of the time scheduled activities archery/shooting etc they would walk around advertising it ,people would go to where activities were and no one would turn up to take it.This happened several times.Other games included seeing who could kick there flip flop the longest distance and other silly games !!!.Pool was lovely and clean ,lots of sunbeds and life guard always there and towels can be hired which wasn't well advertised .There is a aqua park directly outside hotel with free access and drinks included.In the evening there were several shows ,a quiz and kareoke etc.There was no where enough seats near the stage and if you sat on the terrace you couldn't hear the shows,more speakers would help!! Drinks were the basic all inclusive package ,local brands and there were a few cocktails included,beer was San Miguel.Drinks stopped at 11pm then you had to pay at the inside bar which was open till 12am. Food was ok but have had a lot better ,what there was was ok but things didn't go together and a lot of the time only luke warm.Puddings all week ice cream ,apple cake fruit and one other sweet.You cant take food out of dining room onto the terrace which would have been lovely.This is ment to be a four star hotel ,they charge four star tourist tax but I'm sorry to say it doesn't deliver 4 star quality.It could be so much more the is lots of spare land in the grounds for which they could do so much with to keep you entertained. We enjoyed our break but it could have been MUCH MUCH more enjoyable
    What's Happened To This Place?

    I like this place, it's our second time at the Sur Menorca after coming two years ago but something has changed... I've no idea how this has happened, however, it would seem that the entire Jeremy Kyle waiting room had been dumped here this week (and my guess is that probably most of the time given the entertainment is driven to please the masses, read below on this). Sheeesh. Honestly, I've never witnessed such uncultured swines as we did last week - I feel embarrassed for them but I'm sure they don't care. After all, they're representing Engaland, oiii oiiiiii! ? Food wise, the breakfast is great, we didn't really bother with lunch and dinner after the first three days as it feel 'samey' each time, I can understand they need to cater for everyone but it just seemed better a couple of years ago. Snacks twice a day were okay, hamburgers or hotdogs but again, this was different to before because now you can't take the food by the pool. You have to go into the restaurant and sit and eat it in there? Odd. Previously the food was served next to the bar and you could eat it wherever you wanted? If you come all inclusive the water park directly opposite is included in the deal and thank goodness it is because its big enough to get away from the scroates and actually enjoy your time, plus the sunbeds are much nicer and generally a better vibe. The slides at this place and the lazy river are great, the food here isn't included in the all inclusive but the drinks are. The wife and I spent the majority of our 'hotel time' here. Come the evening, find something else to do than staying at the hotel because unless Eifel 65 'Blue' or 'Baby Shark' is your bag then you'll want to drown yourself in the pool with awkwardness. Whilst you may think this is geared towards children, the entertainment staffs patter on the microphone tells me they know who they are entertaining. Two years ago this place was lovely, and maybe we've picked a bad week but it's safe to say we won't return here again. Not really the fault of the hotel, although I wish they would actually enforce rules of etiquette about not playing your own Grime or Drum & Bass at maximum volume on your portable speaker and sod what anyone else thinks. To finish on a positive, the staff are great, all of them and god knows how they keep smiles on their faces with the muppets drowning themselves in San Miguel whilst badgering the staff for the West Ham game to be put on the TV ? Sur Menorca staff do a great job and it's a clean and tidy hotel. Perhaps not 4 star however, 3 for for but 4 may be a push too far.
