We landed in Reykjavik at 8am. We tried to pay for early check-in but none available. We camped out in the lobby until 12noon when a room finally opened up. We saw a lot of other people doing the same, must be common with the timing of flights arriving. First, if you can afford it book a junior suite. Situated very close to the city centre (walking distance) Grand hotel offers a unique experience of Reykjavik.The lobby once you arrive is a nice surprise as it is enormous and very well decorated.The staff is very helpful.The rooms spatious with all the facilities.Excellent of high quality breakfast....

Poor WiFi

Clean and comfortable rooms, however there was poor WiFi connection in room and power outlets not located in convenient locations in the room. I had to stand by the doorway of my room or go out to reception area whenever I needed to connect to wifi as no other spot in my room could get a signal....

Good hotel option in Reykjavik

The hotel is well located with easy access to major highways, the ocean is one block away, downtown Reykjavik is 5 minutes by car and provides parking which is a plus.
Our room had ocean view and the bed was quite comfortable....
