    The Grand Hotel Angiolieri's studded into a hillside overlooking the pretty Bay of Naples.

    This place has struck lucky when it comes to location – it's in the sleepy town of Seiano, midway along the scenic Sorrentine Peninsula. That means a beach and marina five minutes' drive away, and the likes of Sorrento, Pompeii and Positano a little further afield.

    The views here are pretty special. From the pool, the restaurant and the sea-facing rooms, there are top-drawer views of mighty Mount Vesuvius across the water.

The wine list includes a number of local vintages, alongside Italian, French and German wines. If you fancy dining with a view, the terrace offers outstanding views of the sea and Mount Vesuvius. A buffet breakfast is served here each morning, too.

You can check it out on my YouTube channel, High Standard Vacations. I talk about the hotel and the surrounding area. The Grand Hotel Angiolieri located near Sorrento right outside the little town of Vico Equense. It’s a quiet and quaint hotel with gorgeous views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. It's got a unique combination of modern design and Mediterranean style rooms with Vietri Majolica floors. The Grand Hotel Angiolieri has a pool overlooking the sea, a rooftop jacuzzi, a wonderful citrus grove, herb garden, and A bar to take in the amazing views at happy hour. It's an excellent choice to stay if you're looking for some peace and quiet near Sorrento.
    Elegant Hotel with Stunning Views

    My husband and I spent five nights at the Grand Hotel Angiolieri. The following are comments on my stay: - The gentleman who checked us in was very welcoming. He gave a brief tour of the hotel. - We were in the Rodeia Room. It is a deluxe sea view room with a large covered terrace. The room contains a large bed, with a firm mattress, one chair at the desk, another chair in the corner of the room, a wall mirror, mini bar, tea kettle with a supply of tea & coffee, a wardrobe, and several lamps. - I found the bathroom to be small, but adequate. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub with a hand-held shower. There is no shower stall or wall mounted shower head in this bathroom. I didn’t have a problem using the hand-held shower, however, future hotel guests should be aware of this type of shower in this bathroom. - Breakfast at the hotel was delicious. The quality of the food and service in the dining room were excellent. - The hotel offers shuttle service. Ask at the front desk for details. - We walked from the train station to the hotel a few times. It took us about 15 minutes to walk up hill to the hotel. - The hotel was very quiet. We heard noise (loud talking and the sound of a TV) only one night and it ended by 10pm. - The views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius are stunning. I enjoyed sitting on the terrace, looking out at the sea and hearing the waves crash below. Early in the morning I could hear birds chirping and roosters crowing. - We ate dinner several nights at Sapori restaurant adjacent to (but not owned by) the hotel. Convenient after a day of sightseeing. Great pizza. Highly recommended. It was a pleasure to be a guest at the elegant Grand Hotel Angiolieri. Like staying at a palatial family home, rather than an ordinary hotel.
    Lovely hotel but...

    This is a lovely hotel in a great location within the Bay of Naples. You have sorrento and Pompeii within 20 minutes from the train station. The train station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel but it is not well lit so I’d be careful in the dark. The views from the hotel are beautiful, especially at breakfast where all the tables look out across the Bay. The rooms were lovely and cleaned to perfection and there is a fridge which you can fit snacks in aside from the mini bar. The service within the hotel is mixed. The hotel staff at breakfast were exceptional and remembered what drinks we wanted before we even sat down. A couple of the concierge staff were also amazing but others not so much. As two young women staying at this hotel for a friends trip away we did feel looked down upon by both the guests and some hotel staff. We did have massages which were amazing and well worth the money. I’d also highly recommend Sapori, the pizza restaurant below the hotel. The pizza was some of the best we’ve ever had so well worth a visit.
    Wonderful place to stay

    We arrived late on a Sunday night but the shuttle still came to collect us from Seiano station and we got a lovely welcome from the reception staff. Gennaro at reception was fantastic throughout our stay, always very friendly and helped us plan our trips. The hotel has the most amazing views of Vesuvius and is very clean. Our room was a good size and nicely decorated. My only comment would be that there is no iron in the room. You have to pay €5 per item of clothing which is a bit steep! The hair dryer was also very difficult to use so maybe bring your own. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was very tasty. We had one dinner in the main restaurant which was lovely (although limited choice for non seafood eaters). The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from Seiano station where you can get the train pretty much anywhere you want to go. There is nowhere to buy tickets at the station, but you can buy from the hotel reception. The hotel also puts on a free shuttle to and from Vico Equinse. All in all a wonderful stay and we would definitely go back!

    Our group of friends spent 3 nights at Hotel Angiolieri. The views were absolutely amazing looking across to the Bay of Naples. The rooms were nicely appointed, very nice size and modern amenities. Our room was quiet, but our friends commented some noise between rooms. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of our needs. The reception staff helped arrange transportation to one of our tours. They provided us “breakfast in a bag” due to us leaving on tours before the dining room opened. We enjoyed wine each evening again enjoying the view and the bar staff was also very friendly. Overall an exceptional stay.
