TUI SENSATORI Barut Sorgun

We travelled to this hotel in September. It was our first experience of a sensatori and generally we were very pleased. The room we were allocated in the main part of the hotel was really very good and very quiet. The maid service was excellent. The different restaurants were generally very good and we did pay extra one night to eat in one of the two chargeable restaurants and found it to be excellent. We particularly enjoyed our meals at the turkish restaurant. Were not so keen on the restaurant down on the beach found service there to be a bit offhand. The buffet restaurant was excellent. Bar areas were very nice and relaxing however we did have a problem getting a different brand of gin apart from Gordon's for my wife as she suffers with migraines and unfortunately Gordon's has always been a trigger yes the local gin was fine but having spoken to the beverage manager we would have expected a five star hotel to have been able to have offered her an alternative without having to pay extra for it! Thanks to the Tui manager and his assistant Bianca we were able to pay for a bottle of Tanqueray and keep this at the bar so we could ask for it when my wife wanted a drink. But really felt havig paid a lot of money to stay at a sensatori they would have been able to accommodate this request without us having to pay out more! We have never had this problem at a five star hotel before and would suggest that you may like to think outside the box as I'm sure must be necessary to accommodate people with allergies etc! We thought the beach was amazing and the service was exceptional there. Feel that the booking of tables on computers at reception was a total waste of time as they constantly informed us that all restaurants were full but infact they were not and we were able to book with the very nice Turkish lady who I believe worked with Tui for any restaurants! So sometimes computers cannot cope with everything or perhaps its the humans who input the information into the computers that are inefficient? We were not impressed with the welcome meeting when we were turned away ten minutes early by a Tui jobsworth either Perhaps some more training is neededfor certain members of the team? A lesson in how to speak to the customers without being down right rude! However we enjoyed our holiday but wouldn't return There are some very nice people working at this resort and we really like Turkey having been many times previously so perhaps we will try one of the hotels in Fetihe !

A second, albeit a short end of season, visit to this hotel this year confirmed our belief that this is a wonderful hotel. This feeling was endorsed by finding the high standard of cleanliness still continued throughout giving one a feeling of being well looked after. The service and attentiveness from all staff in the bars, restaurants and housekeeping still remained at a high level and the quality and selection of food and cocktails again did much to enhance our satisfaction of our holiday, with the supervisory captains and chefs very visibly ensuring all guests were satisfied. Our favourite spot, the wonderful beach, was again most enjoyable to be at with once again outstanding service from the staff there. The good entertainment was now all indoors and we enjoyed in particular the excellent singing, piano and guitar playing in the bar areas. Super service and satisfaction from the hotel's guest relations and TUI staff, along with the reception staff, once again came to the fore and it was a pleasure to talk with them. Once again, thanks are due to the General Manager, Murat Neptun, and his staff for maintaining this high standard throughout this hotel. Looking forward very much to returning to enjoy it all again.

In many countries there is a fear of the number 13, but for us our 13th visit to this hotel only brought happiness. The expected relaxed and calm feeling again materialised on entry to the hotel, with the warm happy greeting from the staff shining through. Our previous reviews have covered the high standards already set and it is rewarding to be able to confirm that we were right, with the hard work of all staff to please guests again being so obvious. Cleanliness in all areas stood out and it was pleasing to see the smiles of gratefulness from the staff responsible when we were able to thank and compliment them. There had been some changes in the bar staff but the smiles and friendliness from those mixing drinks one requested and from the bar captains were still as huge as on last visit. The excellent food, with much selection choice still came forth in the restaurants, with excellent service from the Chefs, Waiters and Restaurant Captains with regular enquiries to all guests that everything was to satisfaction. Similarly the a-la-carte restaurants, again ,supplied excellent cuisine and service and we found ourselves slightly over eating with the choice of menu and quantities. We had no trouble booking such, using the helpful guest relations staff when needed. We again made our regular 4pm visit to the Kokumi Cafe for the delicious freshly baked cakes and, also, this time we sampled it's other delights at different times of the day. The super gözlemes produced close to the Ocean Restaurant and beach once again attracted us and many other customers as did the tasty Turkish Street Food. The gardens remain a joy to walk through being maintained to a high standard and at the large beach all the staff, particularly Ömer, Anıl and Tuncay, still worked extremely hard to allow one to enjoy the peace and sunshine . Though not again seeing many of the main adult shows, our age has determined our taste, we found the the entertainment of singing, piano and guitar playing provided in the bars to be of a high standard and enjoyable. It was, again a pleasure to speak with the hotel's guest relations staff who gave the same excellent service, fulfilling any request that they could with a happy smile, as also did the friendly exceptional reception desk staff. As before, the Tui guest relations personnel shone and again were most helpful with their advice with it being pleasurable to talk to them. Once again, the General Manager, Murat Neptun, and his administration staff are to be thanked for their hard work and for moulding together the great staff who together all enabled us to have such an enjoyable holiday. Towards the end of our stay we realised that in total, with our visits since the hotel opened, we had spent a full year of our lives enjoying it's great facilities and exceptional staff and would like to specially thank all them from over the years for such enjoyable times. We hope they will continue for us.
