    Set in the countryside, the Maria-Yiannis Apartments have the perfect atmosphere for relaxing holidays, not far from local hotpots.

    Each self-catering apartment here has its own kitchenette, and spacious balconies and terraces are set up for al fresco dining. The curved pool's got a shallow children's section, plus a bar on the sun deck that serves drinks and snacks.

    The apartments are encircled by pine trees and are a five-minute walk from the Blue Flag award-winning shores of Troulous Beach – the area's also got bars, restaurants and tavernas. Public transport can whisk guests from Troulous to Skiathos Town – known for its nightlife – in about 30 minutes.

    These apartments were fantastic and a great location just across the road from Troulos beach and the bus stop to take you to all the other beaches, The apartments were clean with nice comfy beds and good facilities to make breakfast each morning which we enjoyed on the balcony. They have a real friendly feel to them and we always enjoyed a drink at the bar before we went out each with Manos and the odd cheeky one when we returned and they even had Greek cider and gordons pink gin so we were both happy. All in All a great stay and well worth a excellent rating.

    We were totally delighted with the Maria Yiannis apartments. Set back off the road close to the beach/supermarket, it was a real haven of relaxation. Our apartment was clean comfortable and well-appointed. Quiet during the day and night, and the poolside bar/cafe was an added bonus. The staff (thank you Manos and Toni!) are terrific hosts and will do anything to make your holiday enjoyable. We hope to come back next year!

    Stayed at Maria yiannis hotel 19th- 26th August with my parents and daughter. We booked a last minute break away- on arrival to hotel we were greeted by Manos who was happy to help and showed us to our rooms. Rooms typically greek and very basic but clean. Pool area looked lovely although didn't use as we prefer beach. Troulos beach was beautiful and less than 5 min walk from hotel. Would definitely come again and the greek night is a must- fab food and great entertainment

    We loved the friendly atmosphere at the apartments and around the poolside. There was always enough sunbeds and the pool was warm and clean. It is located near a busy road but the noise wasn't an issue. The room was cleaned regularly and was pretty basic - the beds were comfortable and the balcony was a decent size ( the 3 of us ate our breakfast there). We didn't bother with the aircon ( 45 euro/week) as our room was in the shade from mid-afternoons. Manos the host was ever present and does a great job on Greek night where his whole family provide the great food and entertainment. We walked to the nearby beaches ( 3 minutes to Troulos, 15 mins to Maratha) and took the buses to ones further afield like Koukanaries. The beaches are magical; lovely clear water and soft sand

    We have had a wonderful holiday at Maria Yiannis. We did not spend much time by the pool, preferring the lovely beach. However, when we did it was friendly and welcoming. No issues raised in other reviews was experienced by us! We too overlooked the bar (room 13) but were not disrupted by noise and, once the door was closed, it was very quiet. All of us slept really well. The room was very well kept and cleaned beautifully each day. It was so lovely to come back to. Manos was friendly and welcoming. He could not do enough for us. In short, totally recommended and I am confident we will return!
