A great holiday, but a couple of niggles

Overall Villa Christina was great. The staff were friendly and helpful and the daily maid service was good. I was in Room 103, which was spacious but the niggles which prevented me giving 5* were unreliable wi-fi access in the room and no hot water. When I complained, I was told that I should run the tap for 10 mins - but this didn't help (people I met in room 104 had the same problem). The kitchen facilities were sufficient for me, but it wouldn't have been possible to cook a meal. The room had an excellent terrace for breakfast. Villa Christina consists of several accommodation blocks set in spacious and attractive gardens. The pool area is excellent with plenty of loungers and umbrellas, and I had great swims in the pool during my stay. One downside is the long hill down to bus stop 13. I walked down to the supermarket the first morning (they kindly drove my shopping and I back to Villa Christina). I realised that I couldn't face the walk every day and hired a car through the TUI rep for the duration of my stay. I also walked down to Vromolimnos Beach down a path that started well, but which got more and more difficult. The road down to bus stop 13 is wonderful for watching sunsets.

We stayed at Villa Christina in September for 2 weeks. The accomodation is outstanding and the staff cannot do enough for you. It is in a beautiful location but it is a good 20 minute wlk up hill from the bus stop, this was not a problem for us but if you have mobility problems you would need your own transport or take a taxi.It is a lovely 40 miniute walk over the headland to Kanapista beach where you can catch the water taxi to town. I cannot recommend this place highly enough Thnk you to the ownwers and the staff for the great holiday, especilly the lovely Kristin and Jenny. We will come again .

Just got back didn’t have the best of starts the room they gave us was very small and dark at the back of the property we went and saw Christina she said she would speak to the owner and gat back to us within half an hour she said we could have another room and also helped us to move our stuff, they are very friendly always saying morning or good evening we only had one meal here but it was very good pizza was so big Christina wrapped half of it up to have next day , we knew it was quite a way from the bus stop which didn’t bother us as we always have a car , on the day we left my husband realised he didn’t have his phone when we got to the airport after searching the bus we said it must be still in the apartment tui reps rang them they looked for it and found it the owner Miltos even offered to bring it to the airport diamond thank you for a lovely 😊 holiday

Just got back from the Villa Christina, missing it already. It was very peaceful and relaxing which is just as I like it. The staff Jenni and Christina at the bar are so friendly and always available for a chat about the area and the history of the Villa. Our room was very spacious, we had two bedrooms even though there was only two of us, I think it was for a family of four, with a large living area and kitchen. The apartment was clean with free aircon in the lounge area. Two electric rings in the kitchen with a kettle, fridge and plenty of cooking utensils, no toaster or microwave though. Some people have mentioned in their review about the hill, this is not a bad hill it took us 10-15 mins walk and it was a pleasant walk. There are only a few restaurants at the bottom of the hill within walking distance, so you need to get the bus into Skiathos Town, the bus stop is number 13 and is just at the bottom of the hill. The beach Vromolimnos is at the back of the Villa down a rough path way, if you are not steady on your feet this would not be suitable or for very young children to walk. My daughter and I did it twice, the first time as the pathway narrowed and went into the bushes we thought we had gone the wrong way but we hadn't. It was quite funny when we got to the end and a relief as we saw the beach. You can get to this beach from the main road but it would take longer. There are other beaches within walking distance but this was the nearest. The owner of the Villa, called Miltos [probably haven't spelt that correctly] was very friendly and one evening gave us a lift back up the hill to the Villa. All in all I would certainly return to the Villa for a holiday and would recommend to my friends. Thank you guys for a lovely holiday.

Villa Christina is a beautiful place to stay . A car is necessary as it at the top of a hill with a steep climb from the main road. The venue is spotlessly clean with excellent housekeeping. Our room was cleaned everyday even though we were self catering. The room kitchen facilities are a 2 plate hob and a small fridge so cooking a meal is not realistic, but the onsite restaurant is good and there are lots of good places to eat nearby. Overall highly recommended
