9) Why was my credit/debit card declined when I tried to buy something onboard a TUI flight?

There could be one of a few different reasons why this happened...

  • You might have entered the wrong PIN number
  • The card might be programmed to only work in an 'online environment.' Onboard our aircraft, we work in what's called and 'offline environment.' This means our payment machines aren't connected to the bank, so we can't confirm that there's enough money on the card to cover the items you're paying for.
