Holidays to Kata Beach offer an adventure-packed range of watersports and activities in a chilled-out area of west Thailand.

Holiday perfection

Sitting on Phuket's pretty south-west coast, Kata Beach offers a blend of action and relaxation. Its palm-lined beach is popular, but nowhere near as crowded as Thailand's better-known hotspots. But, from watersports and snorkelling to night markets and cooking classes, there's still plenty here to keep you entertained.

Three beach views

There's lots to explore in Kata and the surrounding area. Take a stroll along Thanon Thai Na, Kata’s main thoroughfare for eating and drinking. Or, climb up to Three Beaches Hill for sweeping views of the coastline, with the beaches of Kata Noi, Kata Yai and Karon in the distance.

Aquatic adventures

Try surfing at the southern end of Kata Beach, or rent a kayak and row along the coast. If you fancy some snorkelling, take a water taxi across to the corals of Ko Pu – just 400 metres off the coast and teeming with tropical fish.
