With three secluded beaches and a lido, Playa Paraiso holidays put the brakes on. You're far from isolated, though – Playa de las Americas is close by.

Tranquil Tenerife

Sleepy and Tenerife don’t usually get thrown together in a sentence. But this pocket is just that. A trio of coves is cut into its shoreline, and there are a couple of shops, bars and restaurants in the centre. Other than that, you’ll need to head to nearby Costa Adeje and Playa de las Americas, who are more than willing to help out.

Three coves

If you value your peace and quiet, you’ll love Playa Paraiso’s beaches. In English, the name means Paradise Beach, and its coves are certainly blissful. Playa las Galgas is a half-sand, half-pebble job, while the other two are onyx-black stone numbers. Plus, behind the middle one, you’ve got a lido with a pool, a restaurant and a diving school.

Next-door neighbours

It’s easy to drop in on your neighbours in Playa Paraiso. First, you’ve got Costa Adeje – a 15-minute drive away. This then merges into even livelier Playa de las Americas. You can easily spend a day on one of its long, sandy beaches, or hurtling down the slides at Siam Park. And it’d be a shame to miss a trip to Mount Teide National Park. The Canary Island must-do is an hour’s drive from here.
