Playa de los Pocillos holidays take you to the sleepy baby sister of party-loving Puerto del Carmen. Plus, they sit side-by-side, so it's a win-win.

Seaside charm

Playa de los Pocillos is named after its beach. And it’s no wonder when it’s this big and beautiful. There are enough bars and restaurants to go around, too. But you’ve also got Lanzarote’s king of package holidays, Puerto del Carmen, on hand for a boost. A 15-minute walk is all it takes.

Big beach

There’s plenty of elbow room on the sandy beach here. And the Blue Flag crown means it’s spotless, too. It’s got those signature Canary Islands breezes, so the windsurfing’s just as good as the sunbathing. The colourful, circle-shaped plaza overlooking the sands is a top spot for rollerblading. And there’s a spruced-up prom that runs all the way to Puerto del Carmen.

Cowboys and clubs

After dark, things in town are as laidback as a loris. Just outside, though, there’s the Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park. This place throws a family-friendly Wild West night, where you can lasso like Billy the Kid, learn to line dance and ride ponies. Or you can walk into Puerto del Carmen – stopping for bevvies in the bars en route.
