WHEN TO GO
Malta is a great year-round destination. Even in winter, temperatures are still pretty mild, averaging around 15°C. That said, the best months for sun are from July to September, when average temperatures hit the 30°C mark. August peaks at more like 40°C, so unsurprisingly it’s also the busiest month of the year. It’s usually pretty dry, as well – most of Malta’s rain falls in the winter months. Spring and autumn are pretty decent, too, with the mercury reaching around 20-25°C.

Health & Safety
You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover you while you’re away. It’s also a good idea to get a European Health Insurance Card – or EHIC – before leaving the UK. Though it’s not a substitute for travel insurance, it entitles you to emergency medical treatment on the same terms as Maltese nationals.
