The star attractions of Agios Sostis holidays include pretty hidden coves, serene sands and an impressive Venetian fortress.

Charmed life

It's only a 20-minute drive south of Zante Town, but Agios Sostis – located on Greece's Ionian Island of Zante – is a world away at heart. Peppered with coves and pine trees, it's an antidote to its party-hearty neighbours. Think pretty sun-bleached chapels, traditional Greek tavernas and seafront bars – all fronted by a glittering coastline.

Secluded sands

The little local beach of Agios Sostis receives far less attention than that of sweeping nearby Laganas. Its shallow shore is a great playground for paddlers, while the peaceful sands are perfect for kicking back with a book. It's far from deserted, though, with tavernas and cafés close at hand.

Shipwrecks ahoy

Shipwreck Beach can be reached by one of the many boat trips on offer. As the name suggests, it's home to the abandoned ship that ran aground decades ago. Today, it's a popular tourist attraction thanks to the stark contrast of its rusted remains against the bright white sands.
